You have to give the hyperdrives and the francium time. It took about 6 in game months, but human colonies do start popping up. I have 2. The human sphere of influence does expand. (The overmind hyperdrive is too valuable to give up!) Not that it has an overall in game effect, but it does happen. On that note, are the planets the humans colonize set, or is it whichever ones you have visited near Earth?

Wow, I didn’t even hit this quest! Just reading stuff and where people are stuck, I somehow missed a lot of quests on my play through.
I shrink it to as small as possible, then off-set it inside one of the bigger components used.
First, you already have a customer no matter which option Star Dock goes with. My quick thoughts. First and foremost make planets more interesting! More critters (16+), more weird formations and also signs of civilization on planets besides a single ruin. This should just be a goal for the original game. While I believe the initial reaction was correct about "people will not be spending most of their time on planets", for the main plot. However, to keep the game "a
Before installing this opt-in I had released the Xraki and defeated their Juggernaut headed to Earth, at the cost of 3 of my own ships. After installing this opt-in, I have now lost 3 entire 14 ship fleets trying to defeat the Juggernaut heading towards the Pinthi home world. Did the opt-in significantly change the difficulty level? Even after adding two fleet defense modules (at +20% each) I lost badly. And I'm playing on th
So far I have found 5 hyperdrives. The original, the stolen one you buy, the overmind, the dranken , and the one you get by helping the pirates on Sirus A. Are there anymore out there?
You know you want a 32:9 since SCO now supports the resolution!! In all honesty, I love my 21:9 29" ultra wide. The 34" ultra wide is a bit too big for me (I use one at work.)
Thanks. I played through phases 2 and 3 of the beta and never tried that [e digicons]:D[/e]
They are usually on the treasure planets, the ones with the gold and silver and other yellow materials. I was wondering what the weird "campfire" patterns were, needless to say I found out.
It is difficult to promote, most people have never heard of Star Control, let alone Starflight. Yes there are thousands of fans (I am a huge one!!!) but even back in 1986 it was a niche game. I will keep my eyes open on a future campaign. (I am already on your face book page.)
Ok, I have been exploring this sector after the main story has concluded. A couple glitches I have caught: -At Star Dock it doesn't let you remove the Pinthi (sp?) device. -The Commander at Star Dock gets repeats the final in game dialogue as if the story was not concluded.
Now we have, what, three different kinds of critters? Maybe four? The planets are just...just...boring. The idea that players wouldn't be spending a ton of time on planets was...short-sighted. The story of SC2 was great, but the galaxy was almost entirely unpopulated; it was rare to run into an alien ship. 90% of the game was planet-borne, and so that's the way I've been playing SCO. That this was not re-created for this otherwi
I am already thinking of a modded sector!!! It is time to start some ship design!
First, let me get this out of the way. I have read/listen/watched many reviews for SCO, and many say the same thing. That it is boring collecting the resources. I 100% disagree with this, I think this is the heart of the game, it is searching for those resources which drives you to explore in to unknown and possibly hostile territory. It lets you discover stuff by exploring more thoroughly than you would normally. (Like the Orz easter egg!) Now that being said, here is some s
A little bit. You get the Lexite Interceptor blue prints and a component for the mothership (if I remember correctly, those things just sort of appeared for me though. I did not know what came from where on long productive voyages.)

The couple seconds to skip that dialog is just so much faster than any return trip for fuel, and it puts me right next to Earth for crew. Positives a
Look for any Big Star for fuel. (Although they also may be dangerous.)
Your "found" ships (at least the ones you find on planets and repair) should be crewed by humans, so you can replenish their crew by returning to Star Control.
It was a glitch then. One of the Purple Cruisers with the Death Ray never got replenished no matter how many times I went back to Star Control. I eventually Kamikazed it into something.
What are the requirements for Earth Colonies? I know the first one requires an extra Hyperdrive and the 100 Francium. But after that, what determines if Earth will colonize a planet? Is it planet scans and light years? Is it every Hyperdrive brought back to Earth? Or is it just the one Colony you can get? Now that I have completed story mode, I want to expand Earth's territory.
-First, is the time limit on the Scryve movement. I feel I was just getting to know my sector before they started taking over and getting close to Earth. I like to explore, so a little more leeway would have been nice. (I don't know how long it would have took though, it felt urgent.) I think I only got one or two sub-quest done not dealing with any of the main races. You c
The quest for the Singularity Launcher is given by a Tywom vesser near the Precursor starbase in the Llorven cluster. I believe it has nothing to do with Clavis Aurea. P.S. Epic ships?!! Have you seen Harmony Battlecruisers?
Yes, I have seen the Harmony, Inamorata and the other contest winner. The designers have taken a couple liberties with them, but they are in there and fun to see. (And mean!!) <br
I just finished the main story last night. Lets see, where to start. I really really liked everything, I give the game an A-. I will go over my complaints first, because it is easier to do. -First, is the time limit on the Scryve movement. Watching the clock to get off of work ....
In all fairness, I am a pretty hardcore Star Control fan as well, but just heard of SC:O in August. I have been out of the gaming world for so long, and I finally put together my first PC in 15 years. (I went Mac for professional video editing, but Apple slowly left me.) I have not played the Demo yet besides melee and the shipbuilder. (I was able to get the Inamorata in like 2 days after I got the game, then I took a work trip for 3 weeks and the game's beta was taken away.)
I for one am looking forward to our new Ur-Quan Scryve masters. While the tech engine and programing is looks good to my inept eyes, that was never Star Control's point. Games like Star Control and Starflight are much more about the story, the interaction with aliens, and the mysteries of the universe. For all I care, it could be 2d blitter objects. (It is funny how different people want different things ...
I am curious how you plan to "expand" the universe. My hopes are the starmap will just get bigger every few month.
