I just tried Fleet Battles yesterday on my low-end PC laptop (i5-6300U @ 2.4GHz, 16GB ram, Intel integrated video HD 520). The settings were at minimum, but the battle still felt jerky and the controls didn't feel responsive. I have a faster computer that I'd rather use, but it is a Mac. Any plans to support Mac/OSX (preferable), or to have an even lower detail setting to support weak computers?

Just tried the Ship Editor today. Things I liked: Lots of cool looking ship parts The pieces look good when they connect. Primary/ secondary colors. Even if you add an option to color individual pieces, it would still be nice to have this option for quick coloring. Sounds interesting. I really like the Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 module system. With the ability in SC:Origins for authors to make entirely new ships (and hopefully associated races) to make part of the story, that could be really compelling. -Dan

Seems to me Accolade was the villain here. The Stardock Star Control ship editor and melee look amazing! I'm a big fan of the original Star Control II. From the videos, this new Star Control Origins looks fantastic, especially the ship editor! A post a few years ago said Mac support was planned.
