I just want to say that I'm about one or two more posts on either side away from returning Stardock's game, and just swearing off SC* forever. This is all extremely distasteful on both sides, and what is the point of escaping into a video game from the real world if the real world is so intent on clinging on like a bloodsucking leech the whole way? You guys realize it looks a little sinister to emphasize "responsibilities", like there's something in there someone wouldn't want? Like, what.. the "responsibilities" include some kind of debt or negative legal baggage? What are the downsides to having a clear path to the rights?

I kinda like that the battlecruiser can shoot through the planet. It just would work better if the whole battlefield was larger, that ship just dominates the current battlefield.

I'm a hardcore SC2 player. I bought the original game on floppies soon after it came out, the first game I actually bought, ever. I played it so many times over the years that when I eventually lost the map, I was still able to get in consistently by just knowing enough star coordinates from memory. Now that I've established my otaku credentials... I am looooooving the new melee, in the context that it is a beta and will only get better. Here are some things I'd love to see:
