I haven't 'measured' it - but also got the impression at one time that there was a scaling in ships wrt damage/health. If true then I second this post - ship attributes (damage, health, speed etc.) need to remain constant regardless of difficulty.
Perhaps this fits a current post - but playing a bit today it struck me how quickly a ship can be destroyed.... Scruyve Beam Carver, Menkmack Mine, Trandals Ribbon Bola (and likely others) - are able to kill you almost instantly which is problematic depending on starting locations. My gut feel is that there needs to be a reduction in overall damage or increase in overall health - for most if not all ships.
My comment re. the planet is that presently it does next to no damage.... we need to see the same SC2 type damaging scaling with larger ships getting pummeled?
My two cents... negatives comments only - no news is good news (anecdotally I would also say my 2nd time playing after a few weeks is far better than the first) There are balancing issues (of course as its a beta) - but I wonder if there is an issue with difficulty scaling - played a game on crazy cyborg and earth ship was one shotting a number of my ships or so it seemed (does this imply that a harder cyborg just gets stronger weapons - which would fly in the face of SC2?)
