I had planned on buying Paul&Fred's SC game as well but now that I see another underhanded move by them I'll go ahead and skip that. Buying their game would leave a bad taste in my mouth so... season pass here I come

Replayability After finishing the game I have had very little incentive to start over. This is majorly worrying for me so we need some mechanics or randomization at the start of each new game to make things a little different. Maybe even shuffle around some minor races and quests. Ships One thing that bugged me so much that I installed the fleet AI system is that I found the semi-random weapon loadout of enemy ships of the
Changes to the gameparameters.xml file are no longer being used as input for a new adventure game. How do I fix this?
Alien Races While there were a lot of aliens in SCO, I felt that most were either too flippant or too shallow. Each did have a very unique style but that seemed only skin deep. A lot of them were like "Oh the Scryve kill us at random but that's normal" I would like to see more aliens with their own agenda in relation to the main plot. Humans can't be the only ones trying to find a way of resisting some evil overlord. Ruins A lot more n
Ok we do this here then. I'll just write up some random thoughts in no particular order. Future enemies. Granted the Scryve were powerful and evil but they somehow failed to inspire fear. Their goals and methods were brutal but very obvious. I would like to see some type of enemy where it's very difficult to figure them out until the end, and whose methods are creepy. Going rogue I would like the option to have Starcontrol beco
Do you want us to post our thoughts here or is there another way?
My overal vision would be that you as the Captain of a single ship can contribute to existing efforts of Star Control but not dictate it. For planets this would mean the following for example: Scouting a planet for suitable colonization (limited presence in current game) Running supplies to start colonization (limited presence in current game) Help contruct initial habitation Deliver specific component or resources to upgrade the colony (he
Sign me up. I would imagine this to be a rethorical question but I'm guessing you can use your main game saves throughout the mini-expansions?
I'll second this
I already lost sleep over this. Going to be tough getting through the full workday. Just keep wanting to explore 1 more star system...
I don't have any specific favorites but considering the multi-dimensional nature of the metaverse I would only want to see the races who have that capability like the Orz or races who vanished under mysterious circumstances like the Androsynth
Even though I promised myself I would not play the game until the full release I could not help myself... I did several playthroughs so far and noticed the following small things: Lipsync of the commander compared to the voice seems to be lagging by .3 of a second Several resources on planets are underground I had a Scryve drone appear after already killing the main ship and doing the first contact threat lines We need a mini-map when in a
I missed the whole Hyperspace discussion while it flared up so forgive my ignorance on some matters. Regardless of how the controls or view is implemented I would like to retain manual control. Auto-pilot should be an option yes for convenience but not the main focus. I would not enjoy all exploration and encounters being limited to solar systems. It would be a real waste of space so to speak. From SC2 we know there were rogue planets outside of real space so there's plenty of
Heya all, Call me Mike or by my forum handle, either is fine. I'm mostly an MMO player but there was a period before decent internet that I also played a lot of single player games. These included Starflight 1 and 2 and all the Star Control series. And yes there were parts of SC3 that I liked because they were similar to MMO concepts, like the base building. I joined the forum soon after it was started but due to lack of info I was dormant until recently.
