Gal Civ III ALPHA not available on STEAM after activiting product in Galactic Civilizations Series Stardock Forums

I entered my product key on Steam's "Activite a Product on Steam" process and it accepted my product ID, but it did not download anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Digital Download very slow... in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I have a 8Mb down pipe and I'm getting 14kbs download..... then it stops downloading for several minutes... then it starts up again... all this for 139MB download that should only take 5-10 mins. should of used STEAM (ahahah)
