Thanks, although that really is the issue, that if you don't have a machine directly connected to the net you're screwed. Happy New Years...

A reply would make a nice Christmas gift...
It seems I'm going to have to make this a weekly routine to pop in here...
Still only silence?
It is long overdue for a response here...
I was hoping to see a reply to this at some point during the week...
No response to the above question?
You can use Impulse Anywhere to download either game. http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx Sign in with your Stardock.net account to access the installer/archive files for the games.
A solution should really be provided for titles not on Impulse Anywhere. I've got games where I've downloaded the archive to use for a future installation but it won't restore the archive. Why? I have sy
/signed I like both new Demigods, very nice.
Found the thread I should have bumped; http://forums.demigodthegame.com/349558 I have the impression I will still get a chance to use that thread, this thread should probably be closed as duplicate.
I did search first as I know there was a post about this ages ago but could not find it. It is very annoying that even after all of this time Demigod does not properly support dual monitors. The code for capturing the mouse to the active screen should be an important fix IMHO.
Are you serious? How do you break a random selection in the first place?
Well, in one of the products designed by our studio the first version of "randomly assign region to player" always put the players in the first regions. 4 players would get regions 1, 2, 3 and 4. Who got what region was, however, random ;) It happens...
simply, yes.
P.15 of the manual; LAN Games Players can also play on their local area network (LAN). Demigod has no restrictions on licensed copies on the LAN so ga ahead and have fun!
This issue also bothers me, would it be that hard to to complete 360 rotations? I can see it being lower priority that some of the connection problems but it is very irritating.
do quits affect favor/ranking?
When ever i try to launch DEMIGOD this thing pops up saying ... any suggestions?
Has the game worked for you previously? I have mine installed on a Win7 machine and after updating my sound drivers got this message. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it started working again. Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?
Last night I played a MP game 3v3 and I am fairly sure all my opponents where AI. This morning I had another skirmish map 4v4 and this time I asked "anyone human?" and got no responses. Anyone else running into this?
GameRanger is a good service but may not be needed once all the connection issues are resolved. It is however frustrating to see so many pirate games on the service. As for splitting the community, I think that's not a concern, it will grow over time like any MP game.
out of eight is not a noname. Not mainstream like IGN or Gamespot of course, but still well known (and the reviews are a lot better than these two).
I second that, Out of Eight is an excellent resource for scoping games.
I can confirm this bug. I can also confirm it's annoying. Here Stardock is at fault on the QA but GPG are at fault for not coding it properly. They didn't get it right on SupCom either and it's a small programming issue, it's sort of sloppy to have not gotten this right. I still think this is an excellent game, it's just annoying.
A bit of commentary on the industry (I work for a game dev company); Gamestop may not be your favorite retailer and they may have created problems for Stardock but the "route of most revenue" for a developer is not always the first preference. Companies like Gamestop (US) buy lump quantities. Let's say 25,000 first run. If they sell 18,000 in the first week or month then the company might order another batch of 30,000 for their stores, meaning more exposure/shelf spa
I'd be more intersted in a hotkey to make all units except my DG invisible for a moment. Especially when I'm playing a 3v3 with one teammate and two opponenets playing the same DG as me, I can't find myself sometimes...
* If you're launching through impulse, it will tell you if there's an update. *In the impusle client you can see a list of games, or... *In the game you can see a list of games, or... *Skirmish will toss you into a game with mixed success. I've played about 5-7 internet games now but have been ignoring the persistent stuff since there's still bugs there and I'm happy to learn the maps, characters and items for now. Try skirmish, and keep a book at your de
