Yep. Same thing is going on here. Windows looks like it's loading and then it goes black. Had to start in safe mode. Took several tries and it was, as of today the Bootskin. I disabled it and windows loaded up fine. What tomorrow brings, we will have to wait and see

I think I've gotten back on my own. I reinstalled my old SDC, did NOT restart. This brought up everything that's there. Saw SkinStudio was listed but not installed. Installed it. Immeditally Archived it and then copy and pasted the folder EVERYWHERE, just in case. The whole SkinStudio folder. Then I restarted . It wasn't listed, but it was still in archives. When I hit OK to install from there it said it was already installed and lo and behold it is. I haven't installed the updated SDC yet, but

WC working . SDC had to be reinstalled. Hopfully all will be well with that. One tiny little thing, SkinStudio is gone.Gone without a trace. I have Object Desktop, so it should be there. Does anyone know how to get it back without having to pay for it again? Thanks to anyone who can help

It's been several days now and nothing was working. IE wouldn't even load the site at all. Finally broke down and got WC Broswer. Everything seems to be working with that . Now SDC won't update. A window comes up says there are updates, but the screen where the list should be is blank. And SkinStudio is gone from my Object Desktop list.It's still in the system, it just worries me that it's not listed with everything else. This just started yesterday. I'm thinking it might be a good idea f

I personally have two ISPs. Just in case one happens to be giving me grief. Though I rarely have to fall back on this because my main ISP works amazingly well. I would not call myself 'the sharpest tool in the shed', but I have to think that when two ISPs and now three browsers can't get this one site to work, it ain't me. I apologize if I sound a bit touchy. I'm just getting a little frustrated now.

I can download from other sites like DeviantArt and Skinbase just not here. I've been getting 'cannot read source file' errors for five days. A few days ago I was able to get wallpaper. Now nothing. I'm fairly sure I'm good at this end.

It's been five days. I've been trying almost every hour to download and still nothing. Can't even get wallpaper anymore. Things are looking grim. I'll try again tomorrow and after that I have no idea. Anyone have any ideas? I wanted to play around with DX2, get some objects. Needless to say I'm feeling tinsy bit blue about the whole thing .

It's tomorrow. With Mozilla I was able to download wallpaper, but not anything else. Still getting "source file cannot be read" errors. IE is still just hanging pages.

It's not me. Yea me . I've been checking around and I'm able to download from DeviantArt. No problem. Just can't get anything from here. My IE6 has been hanging on the page when I try to download from WC since the begining of Oct., so I've been using Mozilla since then. Until yesterday. I thought I'd try again tomorrow.

I'm afraid I wasn't making sense. I wanted to know about the Please Wait, Turn Off Computer, Restart, ect., buttons and windows. I was only mentioning LogonXP/Studio in the sense that it was easy to use as a program. I download a logon screen and it goes where it should. Fabulous!
