Unless the "upgrade" price for Fences 5 is greatly reduced, like a 1/3rd of the current full price, I'll stop using Fences when it's no longer compatible with the version of Windows I'm using at the time. Humble Bundle still sells Fences 3 for $9.99 which supports up to 5 devices. I use Windows 10 which is compatible with Fences 3. Compatibility hasn't of

I see the problem. For the most part the current version of Fences is at the end of the road for new features that most customers would want or are willing to pay for, outside of updates to support new versions of Windows. Realizing this the company is pushing a subscription model by significantly increasing the cost for a permanent license. This includes charging the full price to "upgrade" from a prior permanent license to a new one. Things are further complicated since customers that purch

I was having a problem with Ubisoft Connect launcher and WindowFX. The program would run fine but the window would disappear if it was moved. The fix was to exclude all the .exe files in the parent Ubisoft Connect directory from WindowFX (Animations->Exclusions setting). After that the Ubisoft Connect launcher window no longer disappears when moved. Program exclusions are mentioned in the WindowFX support FAQ but one might not be aware of the conflict or how to resolve it.

I tried rebooting several times but it didn't fix anything. I think I had to disable the Windows 10 "auto arrange icons" for the "medium icons" setting to stick after a reboot. The odd thing was that Fences also increased the height of my fences when the icons became larger. That's why I'm suspect to possible conflicts with a Windows 10 update (KB5005565) and Fences. Changing to medium icons fixes the issue but it's concerning why the default icon size has changed and what other changes might

Today my PC woke from sleep mode and the icons on the desktop and within Fences were larger. I tried rebooting and reapplying a previous Layout snapshot but that didn't fix the issue. I was able to correct the issue by right clicking on the desktop, selecting view, and then Medium icons. I don't remember having the icon size selected in the past, just used the default icon size. Did something recently change with Windows 10 to cause a conflict with Fences? OS: Windows 10

1. The CPU usage is normal after I disabled Darkness. I tried disabling it before but just to see if it changed the cursor darkness issue. I can't remember if I had Darkness turned on or not with CursorFX Plus, I would have to re-install to check. But it's surprising to see such a large hit in CPU usage with Darkness enabled, which is enabled by default in CursorFX. 3. I ran the purge script as admin and re-installed CursorFX 4.03 from Steam. The animated cursor no longer stops when o

1. It's good to see that the CPU usage is low for you. Did you install CursorFX 4.03 using a key code (direct install) or from Steam ? My install is from Steam, I don't have an in-app key code. Perhaps the extra code in CursorFX 4.03 to support the Steam marketplace might be causing the performance issue. I do notice when I open up the CursorFX 4.03 app that it does a Steam check. The CursorFX Plus that I have uses an in-app key

I upgraded from CursorFX Plus to CursorFX 4.03 and noticed several problems listed below. 1) CPU usage of CursorFX 4.03 is 2-3x higher than CursorFX Plus. It uses around 5-10% of the CPU, most of the time it's 7-8% when there is no cursor movement. CursorFX Plus used around 1-3%. This is when using the ECube theme. 2) The preview window is different than the actual cursor when settings have been applied. The cursor looks darker than the preview even when I disable or turn down
The problem here is you are looking for something that the product is not and never has been. Fences exist at a desktop level. They are not separate windows and thus cannot appear above actual windows on the monitor. In the same way your desktop icons remain on the desktop, Fences also remain on the desktop.
If it's not possible to Push and Pop Fences above open windows apps then could a dif
We have that logged as a feature request so we can look into it more.
Thanks for logging this as a feature request. Fences is designed for power users which often have multiple windows opened. So having a way to Push and Pop all Fences would be of significant value. Otherwise Fences only provides value when doing light duty work with 0-2 windows apps open. Another good feature would be the ability to Roll-up Fences
