I seem to be in the habit of breaking the game. It seems that picking up either all of the Tywom parts or maybe just the part on one of Jupiter's moons, it triggers the probe entering the solar system (I'd already retrieved the other two parts on Mars prior to talking to the Tywom). I ran to the Tywom with their parts, which seemed to trigger the next Scryve encounter. This meant that I seemed to encounter both Scryve vessels at the same time. The probe hit me first, told me it was going to i

I played through chapter 1 for the first time today and really enjoyed it! I would echo what others have to say about the starbase girl being a little off-putting when contrasted to the dire situation, but I quite enjoyed the dialogue with the Tywom and got a good chuckle from a few of the exchanges with them. I seem to have encountered a bug however. I had retrieved all the parts for the Tywom ship and ran into the Scryve scout, destroyed it, and then went to del
Nice! I also thought the hyperspace was totally axed which left me with mixed feelings. This is definitely better. I only hope we have some sort of manual control like many others, but I can understand if that's difficult to implement with a 2d control system on a 3d map.
I'm really liking the look so far! The angled preview of all the ships had me slightly concerned, but I'm loving the look of super-melee in the Feb vault. The top down of the ships looks great!

Are the screenshots of the ships being viewed from the same distance? My initial concern when seeing the ships is their apparent sizes in comparison to each other. There are a couple that are clearly built to feel smaller, but the large majority feel pretty similar in size. Some of that may come down to the kind of squat, cartoony art style or because the ships may be scaled to fit the same space on the screen. Percieved size is also affected by viewing angle. I'm assuming t
It was pretty easy to miss. I logged in on the main StarDock site and thought that was it xD I finally got redirected here when I was really wanting news and screwing around in my StarDock account trying to figure if I'd missed something. They might want to add a big "Log In" button on the Star Control page somewhere for clarity.
I've been checking back every few days to see if anything new has shown up and didn't see much in the way of news since October. Turns out I wasn't properly logged in and was missing out on all of the Founders' forum stuff xD I knew those crickets I've been hearing for the last 2 months were hiding something!
