If this is a separate universe from the original StarCon series then i don't see why any of the original aliens would be included, unless they have inter-dimensional capabilities (Arilou, Orz?).
When I first heard about this project I was excited, though somewhat tempered by Stardock's decision to not include any assets from SC1 or 2. When I heard F&P wanted to a do a direct sequel to SC2, I was elated. Here, after 25 years, we were going to get not one, but two StarCon games, both a soft reboot of sorts and a follow-up to SC2. I did find it suspicious that they announce their game after Stardock beings work on its on SC game, but if that's what it took for them to final
Pretty sure the original ships aren't an option due to the licensing agreement.
