yes, I've noticed that random events seem to drop off whenever I load a saved game and play from that....no clue if its a bug or what...

I'm pretty sure I changed my civilization capital by picking one of the other systems I controlled then going to that planets detail screen , there you can pick set as homeworld...i hope thats what you meant...

haha yep , I was leading the galaxy in research then Altarians and Torians made an alliance and started pwning everyone else and the surrender flags kept going up and up. Next thing I knew it was me and their wicked alliance then the culture hammer dropped and the Torians started losing their systems one by one and the entire galaxy turned Altarian blue.... but worst of all they made me drink Slurm Cola , I really hate Slurm Cola.... <img s

lol, just last nite , my laptop got so hot when I was playing Gal Civ 2 the screen went blank and it wouldnt shut off...I had to pull the battery...I think I need to tone down the graphics?

The event can indeed be devastating. In one game I was playing Evil and in the fight of my life against the allied Altarians and Torians. Suddenly , the Fundies roll in and take 6 of my 9 systems. I lost the game , my Manufacturing Capital, Economic Capital, Technological Capital and Political Capital went poof in one turn. Out of funding , capital ships and good planets I was hosed. ~SDC~

Draginol problem in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I played the game for the first time yesterday with all civs on bright and encountered the Draginol. Shortly afterwards I saved the game only for it to crash. The save game is gives me a red screen. I went thru the load recent game and got to the Draginol event again , it tried to auto-save and crashed. Is this a known problem? Sorry if this was already discussed... ~SDC~
