Check numkock?

Check your keybindings, the 2nd player navigation and confirm button are used, mouse is not valid for player 2. It's weird but that's what you do. I've played it, it's not locked up, it's just listening for different inputs than what you're using.
Thanks, I was inspired by Jeff's picture from the last vault pack. Also a trip to Wikipedia regarding a von Neumman Probe. Funny that 3 of 4 Star Control games have those now (except SC1.)
I think it's cheap to just SAY it's unpronouncable and not ever try. A notch better if you sprinkle the name Jeff into the true name. But do this rather than just SAY "Jeff", and I know this is hard but record your best efforts of pronouncing it backward (with perhaps the exception of the "J" sound which really IS unpronouncable) and then play your reverse pronunciation backwards so the name sounds like this: "J %#$ eff #@!^*" The symbols are modem
I think it would be fun to hear Jeff say, "My name is &^@#$, but you can call me Jeff." The &^@#$ is his true name in his unpronouncable tongue, that solves the oddity of Jeff's name, with some humor. Seeing as Jeff is a machine his name should involve modem sounds or other electronic noise. :D
SC1 had a 3d map with instant star to star travel. But I liked SC2's traveling system better, I agree, I'd like to experience Brad's "Murdered" hyperspace mechanic before resorting to perpetual teleportation which 'makes lite of the vastness of space.' The opposite of Brad's argument. So, I expect some other mechanic besides teleportation is on his mind, or he's just really confusing to read.
"Over time, however, through many adventures you will be able to either beef it up or be able to afford to have a grand fleet but not both" Why is that? What's the fleet look like if it's "grand"? What stops you from both?" Limited resources? Limited time? Trade offs like: Big gun = -2 fleet slots? What's your angle? Also does "many adventures" mean many playthroughs of the same universe or many separate visits to m
Technically SC2 had mini boss fights on demand, just tool around Black/Green Ur-Quan space and mini boss fights abound. But yeah, that was about it.
I used to play Star Control: Timewarp, and people made about 75-100 new ships for it. Some ships were so powerful I personally treated them as *Boss* ships, rather than Over Powered ships. Will we have boss type ships to fight? Or will all fights be fair? Also I once heard it said of sc2 ships that it was the "inefficiencies of the ships that made them fun." Will we be using inefficient but viable ships?
What do you mean "Locks the ship into position?" Like it disables ship steering when fired? I think the modder "knobs" should at bare minimum allow us to make SC2 ships and maybe SC3 (optionally). In addition to the SCO ships, cause you know someone's going to want to do that.
Mine showed up after filing a support ticket. It's fairly easy, just remember to check your email and reply when their robot fails to help you.
How technical will the desired modding tools make modding SCO?
Thanks Island Dog, I wouldn't have guessed it'd take a support ticket. Hopefully it'll be resolved now. Thanks.
Island Dog, do you know where I can find support? I don't see it on the page. Gotta link please? Also, looks like I'll have to post or often now. :D
What do the rest of us do since only 500 keys exist? I paid the $100, and I didn't even get a founder's badge. :/
I named my world Lereshel, after one of the alien homeworlds in a novel I'm writting. It means "Deserted", it's a Mars like world. I wonder if it'll be deserted in the SCO universe as well.
If it's a planet name you came up with and want to use it in another project like a book or a game, should we still submit it? Or should we only submit names we don't want to use in other projects?
I was looking to change my avatar and I somehow found the name a planet dialog. I saw no one else named one yet so I thought about it, ran some names through an alien language cipher I made.... Then I remembered a name and popped it in and then came here to tell everyone about the naming place and here I find everyone already knows. Anyway here's a link to make life easier: www.starcontrol.com/nameaplanet/
I looked it up, the "anus" doesn't sound like that when it's pronounced. It's not like Uranus that has 2 of 3 pronunciations sound bad. Plus it's the last name of Caesar Augustus, prior to his becoming Caesar. It's not so bad.
If gravity wells are represented as rings, top down has a better view, if they are vertices of a grid like you showed, then angled is a better view. Still, in general practice how are angled shots different from hyper melee from sc3? They needed a grid just to play it right, and now we get that and a bunch of distortions to work with. SC3's style was harder to play with, but at least they had both styles. If we get both I won't complain. I'll proba
Ah, ok, a colony's purpose seems so obvious now. I really haven't played it in a long time...
I remember playing SC1, I was like 10, my dad beat me 12 times in a row before I adapted and then I owned him. I'd get to CHOOSE who won from there on out, I'd throw a game if he had a bad day or I'd take him if I felt like it. I also kinda missed the galactic chess they called the "FULL GAME". I forgot about the NO FUN sign, and I find I've forgotten a lot about the full game like the pupose of colonies and I think forts just slowed the enemy down. I
I used to buy games BECAUSE they were local multiplayer and sometimes because they were also internet playable. (Such as Magicka. Local and online MP.) Not all my friends wanted to own the games that we played, so local is a cheap and easy way to play with friends. Both is better, I've played 4 player Magicka with 2 players on my PC and 2 online and separated. It's fun.
I used to be an active part of the Star Control: Time Warp community, and they made a super melee with like 75 kinds of ships and 16 player battles. They aren't as bad as you think. I've done the whole Alliance of free stars versus the hierarchy and that's a 14 player battle in 2 teams of 7. If you toss in target cycling and nearest target keys, and the option to center on your ship. For 1) Ilwraths get REALLY dangerous if they sneak upon a ship that's not f
