New Fences counted down to wierdness within days in Fences Stardock Forums

I have had Fences on my desktop PC for years. Last October, I bought it for the laptop, as I was away from home. It worked fine until I upgraded later to fences 5, then it kept nagging for passwords and would not accept my Fences 4 or F5 numbers. When I got home, my Desktop sub was about to expire, so I bought an F5 5-pack on March 24 to cover both machines, but only installed it in the Desktop PC. It immediately started reminding me my Fences would expire in 5...4...3...days. T

Moved folder disappeared in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

I just moved 2 folders from a Fence to the Fence to my desktop. One folder showed up within the Fence where all new icons go by default; the second was briefly visible in that default Fence, then disappeared. It is not in the Recycle bin, and the Everything and WizFile search programs cannot find it. How can I retrieve it? How can I keep this from happening again?

Oops! Total misdiagnosis on my part. Update was not involved. What happened was, when rebooting, I accidentally signed in as Administrator rather than my main identity. Had not used Administrator much, and apparently not at all since last September or October. Changing back to my main identity fixed it all.

Windows Update Destroyed My Desktop in Fences Stardock Forums

Windows Update just struck, leaving nothing on my desktop but a random scattering of my least important icons. Tried restoring via Fences, but the only desktop layouts shown are from a year or more ago. Is my latest desktop layout still in my computer, and if so, how can I retrieve it? Rebuilding it by hand will take me days.

The "lock" line does not show up when I do this, nor can I find a "lock" option in any of Fences' own tabs.

One of my fences is now positioned partly off-screen. The title bar is above the screen and at least one column of icons is off-screen to the left. How do I fix this?

How do I try Snapshot, if merely enabling Fences screws up my icon placement? But assuming I get the problem fixed, how do I use Snapshot? It looks useful.

I was having minor problems with Fences 3, so I purged it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled ver. 3.08. I have no fences defined, yet. Enabling Fences lumps every icon I have, in seemingly random order, on the left half of my right-hand display. Attempting to restore layout with DesktopOK did nothing (It and Fences had worked well together previously), but if I disable Fences, DesktopOK works again. I am running the recent build of Win 10 Pro x64, and I have nVidia Deskt

Can't create fences in Fences Stardock Forums

I can't create new Fences. I draw the box, then right click, and don't get the option to create a fence. I'm running Windows 10, Anniversary Update (x64). This problem may have arisen after the update--it's been a while since I drew a new fence.
