Even if we grant that 99% of the skins are not good, that still leaves loads that are very good. I, like him, like 'elegant' skins, but there are plenty of those available...at least for me, an XP user. In fact, his specific complaint seems to be that there aren't many elegant skins specifically for Vista. Since I don't have vista I can't comment, but I'm annoyed that the impression he gives is that, for those who like elegance, there aren't many good skins available - that's just not true.

Interesting. Interesting to find so much anger directed towards 'do gooders' (yeah - damned do gooders; if people just stopped trying to do good, it'd be a much better world) and nasty nasty liberals. Interesting how a racist is dismissed as merely 'stupid', 'ignorant', his comments mere 'idiocy'. Interesting to find nobody complaining about the freedoms lost under the prevention of terrorism act 2006, you know - the one that criminalises individu

Not sure where you were looking. I don't know whether the theme is on windowblinds, but look at pixtudio's own site. I thought http://www.pixtudio.net/psuites.php?suiteid=693&x=15&y=14 looked like the relevant theme

I recognise some of those windowblinds... I THINK that...: 1. Wb is iflex by DanillOc 2. Wb is portal by essorant 4. wb looks like arrow by Mike Bryant, but I don't think it is quite. Top of start menu is missing and logout icons are different. But very similar so you might be happy with arrow. 9 wb is, I think, something produced by Pixtudio, I think they may have called it pixxy, the icons are part of the same suite, but I think it's not availab

Is it a wise commercial move to have political threads on a design site? I like Stardock products, I like the designs many people post here, but as someone outside the USofA, I can't stand the (what seem to me to be) incredibly right-wing views that are often expressed by many of the posters on this site. It's put me off visiting this site, and it sadly put me off giving money to the company. Perhaps this is a bit of an overeaction and yes, it's my los

Interesting trends. I'm particularly surprised DesktopX lost ground: along with Windowblinds, it's my favourite programme in object desktop. IconX is great - I stopped using object bar once IconX hit the scene - and though I know little about scripting, the couple of Desktop X objects I have are useful & attractive. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powe

All you are doing is letting people make a donation - I don't see how anyone could rationally object to that. Of course, of course, I know that a lot of people do - but I do think that this 'because it's on the web I should get it for nothing' attitude has to change. My only worry is: I'm not sure whether many people will give a donation for something that is legally and permissibly available for free. I think that Grayhaze had a thread here recently bemoaning the lack of donations. I
