While GalCivII is a great game, I have to look at the times that games have been turned into movie and TV series, and vice versa. Very rarely does something actually make a good translation from one media to the other. If it were to be made into a series or movie I would perfer it to be one made by the community on the net. Sort of like how the seriers Red vs Blue started.

Seriously, it's all you hear these days. Multiplayer and graphics. Yea I hate that too. I remember the ole Atari days, I still have my 7800 in my basement. The graphics on that were crappy compared to todays games but I still find those old game to be fun or even be more fun than some of

The ComputerGeek, unless you are a SD employee, your case is exactly what i am talking about. I have seen it several times in my career also, a developer swears on their mother, father and house pets life that they have tested the SW extensively and seen no problems. Just because ppl testing it does not report or notice or lie ab

There is one little suggestion i have for stardock though. Your beta testers, if you are paying them, fire them. If they got a free game, cancel/block their serials and blacklist them for any future beta testing. Some of the issues are so obvious and appearent it took me 10 min's into game to notice and recreate them. I fail to see how they would not have noticed those. So are you saying that all the people who were part of the Stard

I'll say this. Matt be glad this is not EA or Activision who made the game. They have the worst bug testing and tech support in the world. Ex. Call of Duty 2 IMO Stardock has done a superb job of testing and even after the release they have been here in the forums helping users as best they can. Sure there are some bugs left, but that happens with any piece of software. Heck look at Windows XP. Sometimes I even wonder if the Stard

I was checking SD today to see if there were any more multimedia updates that have been going on for the past few weeks, and when I looked GalCiv II beta was gone from the Purchased section and now is sitting in the Demo part of SD. Is something wrong with my SD, or is this part of the preperations for GalCiv II's arrival?

Yea a seprate ship editor program would be a cool thing to have. Also I'm wondering if people are going to be able to import thier own models that can be used as ship parts. Like different nose cones, and wings. I feel like I'm playing with my old Legos when I use the ship builder. God those were the days as a kid. I used to play with them non-stop. <img src="smiles

I know this may sound a bit dumb, but I wanted to be sure on where I am on the release of GalCiv II. I remember reading a long time back that ppl who were allready members of TGN would get the beta and the full game, for free. I've had the beta since it came out, and I was a member of Stardock before it became TGN so I'm sort of wondering If I am going to get the game free, or should I pre-order it? I want to get the game, but I'm just
