For those experiencing a STEAM "unknown error" failure to start FELH... in Fallen Enchantress Stardock Forums

Try this, it worked for me: http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/B/4/8B42259F-5D70-43F4-AC2E-4B208FD8D66A/vcredist_x86.EXE I uninstalled FELH, downloaded the vcredist_x86.EXE file, opened it from my dl folder, ran as administrator, restarted my computer, reinstalled FELH, and it worked! The first time playing after installation was fine, but now I get a failed to open message for "unknown reason". I checked and I am not involved in any beta according to STEAM.

Same problem here, also the deletion of appcache folder did not help. I have run this game successfully recently, so this is a new problem. When I have STEAM running it will fail to open whether I try it from my STEAM game library page, the desktop icon for FE, or the FE exe file; if I try the latter it returns "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect."
