Hehe [e digicons]:P[/e] [/quote] While I would like to be in there, I also think that the game needs active forums for the outsiders. Its bad PR for a game to have forums that are dead. Also because of this im not that fond of giving cash to a project i have little knowledge about. My free ideas (good or bad) have to suffice for the time being. I hope they make m

Not sure, if the engine is capable on doing this but: The bread and butter 1-on-1 melee is nice, and myself i wouldnt like it to deviate that much from that into huge battles. Keeping it simple would be nice aswell. However it would be really cool if every ship had something like 3 different states: in good shape, in mediocre shape and in bad shape. The last one could be quite funny in the funnier races and a bit less funny in the more serious races. Add to this, that
Not recently it seems. The news section of this forum keeps track on those, and the latest isnt that fresh.
We all have our preferences. :) I think it would be a nice minigame, as long as it would be fast enough. Basicly a small timesink, which would be fun and exciting, if done correctly. It heavily depends on how resource harvesting is done tho. Harvesting should be something that doesnt get daunting in the endgame.
Scanning planets in SC2 was kinda boring, since it was automatic. Scanning planets in Mass effect was active but tedious and unrewarding, since you couldnt kinda see where you had scanned before and it was slow and always the same. Doing it with a mouse was annoying. Scanning planets is kinda cool tho, since it adds to the excitement on what youre gonna find there. So, here's an idea: In many casual tablet games there are stuff that you have to "paint" away. Why not make planet sc

Thanks! Ah and one more thing: the backgrounds of the races were very well thought out and deep in many cases. It was good writing. Traddash culture numbers were so different from, say, Mycon Juffo-wup -stuff. However I'm not that sure it can be reproduced these days in just writing. People nowadays generally dont like to read that long. Or even hear that long dialogues. Could there be a way to show more story via plot point cut scenes and action? Come to think of
I see a lot of similarities in these lists, and they are not unlike my own. Thinking 5 best ones proved to be too difficult, so here are those 5 and a few others in no particular order: SC2 WoW Freelancer Civ IV, V Mass Effect -series (and most of the stuff from Bioware) GTA Vice City (and the whole series) Space Quest III (and the whole series) If you count CiV out, all the others have great great stories.
I played SC 1, 2 and 3 at the time they came out, and like most people, loved SC 2 to bits but didn't neccessary like the third one that much. Now there are a few things that the last one did well, but at the same time there was a lot that was lost there. I analysed it all a bit and came up with a list of things, that made SC 2 the super great thing it was. So here it is in a form that can be translated to other games of the series if need be. 1) Enigma SC 2
