I dont have this registration problem mentioned above, but Impulse keeps telling me that there is an update available for Fences. It says I have ver. 0.96 and need to update to 0.96.37. When I update it, Impulse shows it as downloading then installing. It then displays Install Complete!! for a few seconds (maybe 5). Then Impulse goes right back to Update Available showing me the same version numbers as above. Any ideas how I can get this updated? Than

Here is the stream of error messages I get when I go to the URL www.wincustomize.com . Most of the web page is not formatted and it is very difficult to navigate. If I do manage to navigate off the home page, I get many of these same errors no matter the page I go to. I have already deleted all temp Internet files and all cookies. I am running IE7 under XP Pro. I have javascript turned on. Line: 1098 Error: U

I'm having a problem running WindowBlinds and using a DreamScenes background. Any help would be much appreciated. Here is what is happening: 1) On boot, WindowBlinds loads fine but I get the error message "DreamScene can only run using the Windows Aero Scheme". 2) I right click on the desktop and select Personalize/Windows Color and Appearance/Open Classic Appearance properties. Here I can see that the Windows Standard Color scheme is selected. 3) I change the color Sc

My mistake...the problem remains. Any help would be appreciated. I thought it was the Ulead Video Studio quick-launch program, but today I rebooted and the problem re-appeared. I've uninstalled StarDocks DeskScapes. Here is what is happening: 1) On boot, WindowBlinds loads fine but I get the error message "DreamScene can only run using the Windows Aero Scheme". 2) I right click on the desktop and select Personalize/Windows Color and Appearance/Open Classic Appear

Problem solved. I realized I had a program that would launch on startup that was incompatible with Vista Aero scheme. It would force Vista to switch to the basic scheme temporarily during startup. When I removed this startup program, everything returned to normal. Thanks for listening. Mark

I'm using the new WB 5.5 for Vista x64. I have an mpg video as my background using either DeskScapes or DreamScenes, but everytime I boot, I get the error message that DreamScenes can not start because the color scheme Aero is not selected. No matter the WB skin I select, I always get Windows Standard as my color scheme. Interesting that I can manually select my mpg file as my background and it works fine using Windows Standard instead of Aero. How do I get DreamScenes to wor

I dont really want to get into a debate about a 64 bit vs 32 bit OS. Nobody from Startdock has yet answered these questions? What is the estimated release date for WindowBlinds with Vista x64 support? Which of the products within the Object Desktop suite support Vista x64? I really don't see why these are difficult questions to answer.

Thanks very much for the reply. But that didn't really answer either of my questions did it? Why can you give estimated release dates for everything EXCEPT Vista x64 releases? And is there anything else besides DeskScapes and TweakVista that will run under Vista x64?

After pouring through these forums and the Stardock site, I have yet to find the answer to the simple question... What is the estimated release date for WindowBlinds with Vista x64 support? I know it's in testing, but beyond that I really dont know if I should expect it this month, this quarter or this year. Also, is there any way to find out which of the products within the Object Desktop suite support Vista x64? I can't

Here is some more information on this bug. I tried WinStyles (complete with WindowBlinds, WebBlinds, ObjectBar, and IconPackager) on a Windows 2000 computer. I now get the following error message before WinStyles just quits: The exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0x77fc8ca5. This is also WinStyles version 1.49. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one experiencing this problem with WinStyles. Won't someo

Everytime I select ANY application or theme within WinStyles, the program just quits. This occurs if I use the display properties dialog or the WinStyles program. Stardock told me this would be fixed in the next release. I went ahead and installed the latest Beta release (1.49) hoping to fix the problem...no luck. Does anyone else see this symptom and is there a workaround? If Stardock is read
