Hey guys. I haven't been paying attention over christmas and just went back to look at Nov and Dec vault updates. I see something about loot crates at the bottom of the new menu screen, but haven't seen anyone asking about or discussing that. Are we gonna have loot boxes in SC:O? Edit: I do realize from reading the December update that it's a joke...

How about this idea: A circular fight barrier around the outside of the system that works like a gradual negative gravity field. As you get closer to it you slow down gradually and eventually repels you back toward the middle if you go too far in, so that it's not an immediate stop/bounce situation. You could kind of skim into it slightly if you wanted to slow down for a tight turn, for instance. Also, IMO Orz was best for tailgunning :)
Good lord, what rock have I been hiding under for the last couple days? This is amazing news! Thanks Brad and Stardock for letting this come true! :D
My previous post was a bit more direct than I had meant. I feel a SC1 strategy mode would be great and I probably would play and enjoy it. I'm just much more excited for adventure mode. I have to agree with bleybourne that, since it'll be easy for the community to make new adventures, making E&I would be a better use of resources. Opens the whole SC:O platform up to suit more players.
Hi, The new PDF version of the update looks great and nicely laid out :) I feel like the launch sequence mini-game is something that is going to get old and irritating after doing it 20+ times. It's something we're going to be doing 100's or 1000's of times. I was thinking a bit about it and I believe it would be more fun to me (others can weigh in, of course) if you went for something where you have a couple inputs before hitting launch, like speed and angle adjustment slider
Is it planned to release super melee to the general public before the rest of the features/modes are in?
And space battles! Otherwise, I'm with Hunam_ on this one.
Cool. Never liked the idea of procedurally generating them anyway.
I would rather have a smaller, well-curated universe in the main game and do this rather than have a huge vacant/carbon-copy universe to explore.
I agree with this. I don't think it needs to be much bigger than SC2's. Maybe double at most. SC2 actually had a lot of planets.

Anyone ever played Escape Velocity: Nova? I only really know about it because my dad had a Mac when I was still in school and it's predecessors appeared on the cover CDs of magazines a few times. It's the 3rd game in the series and the only one that has had a PC version, but if you get it the 1st and 2nd ones can be played in the same engine as mods. I lost a lot of hours to this in my youth - especially the 2nd one (Escape Velocity: Override).
Hi Everyone, I'm Andrew from South Africa. I think it was 1993 when my family first got a PC and SC1 was one of the first games we had on it. I really loved just playing melee repeatedly - wither against computer or my younger brother who hated losing :P. Some months later I got hold of SC2, and was spellbound. At first I would spend many an hour trying to figure out what to do and eventually give up, but I kept coming back to it until I eventually (a couple years l
