I'm sure this is not a fresh question. Does anyone know if there is going to be a major update to GalCiv II (i.e. GalCiv 3?) -- there are a few posts around, but those are dated 2008 and say the product will be out "next decade".... I mean, Civilization is coming out with version 5 :).... if stardock is not going to develop, that's fine, someone should tell the fans though.

@the anonymouse poster done away with a rant? the right to chose always exists, - Constitution has absolutely nothing to do with it. The founding fathers had no problems shooting deserters and trading slaves, they could not and did not forsee the future. In an ideal world, I would cite the pro-life message, but you have to keep up with times. I will give you the same response as I give democrats on privacy issues - you have to be

you can be declared an enemy combatant on far less. just for providing material support (like donating money or time to a cause that is deemed a terrorist money raiser). if you are donating time and money to Al-Qaeda - you should be declared an enemy combatant and put far, far away. The f
stick to the issue? I think I did... in case I was not clear enough, let me try once more: How would I defend myself if someone decided that I was an enemy combatant - the only way i can see someone do that if they catch me with a gun in my hands or a bomb strapped to my chest wondering the desert... Enemy combatants are those who without uniform come secretly through the lines for waging war by destruction of life or property, since I
Kerry just a tad more intelligent then Al Gore whose wisdom gave us the internet ("During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.")... and those that continue to listen to the two are even further down the intellectual food chain - that’s truly sad.... Whets even more amazing is that Mr. Clinton doesn't seem to get enough credit for the North Korea situation. After all, it was his administration that brought Jimmy Carter into the picture
Quote: What the Congress did and what the president signed today essentially revokes over 200 years of American principles and values. The greatest threat Madison and other founding fathers faced was an armada of ships with cannons.... the threat we are facing today is a nuke, radioactive bomb and minor things like that plane stuck in the side of the building. We should uphold the founding idea of choice and freedom in principle, but the m
Intel has finally released the new generation of CPUs, for the first time in years there is a significant improvement and for the first time in much longer years Intel truly does beat AMD in performance. Instead of working from a specific budged I chose to work the performance lane trying to save as much cash as I could while building the powerful and silent

Hezbollah is claming victory across the board; the Lebanese are celebrating in the streets the major victory against “the puppet of the western power”. If anyone still fails to understand what is truly going on around the world – they can’t be helped; they can’t be helped because they live in their own intergalactic zip code where no facts of reality find

Seems to me people at BBC have completely lost their mind or just adopted some of the French character... Recently ShadowWar posted an article ("nice muslims") Link I have copied the images below for reference to make sure they wont go away if ShadowWar's server stops serving it. Take a read at orig
I must be missing something - is there a way to find out difficulty level from within the game - i'm a tad curious as to what i set it to
I dont think it is the case; i have saved about 100 times and the file size remaind ~7 megs, then when you try to load a file something happens and the file size jumps from 7 to 16, then it sticks around 16megs for a bit, then goes to 48 then to 180 - at which point you cant save anymore as you get out of memory error (at least on my system w/ 2Gb ram | 4gb swap)
1.3 b1. I understand it was a confirmed bug, what i was trying to understand is what actually leads to it (i.e. a set of your actions or some arbitrary AI stuff) I have played one game completely without it showing up and another is unplayable. Well, it is getting fixed tomorrow anyway...
this was a new game and not a load from 1.2. Besides, it seems that it is something inside the game that causes balooning as sometimes going back 2 -3 (pre leak event) would solve it.
I wonder what exeactly causes the balooning process - from what i saw it was load -> reload, although I'm not sure. Right now I have one that balooned to 48 mb the question is: when the patch comes out - is it going to shrink back to normal size or just stop growing?
Thanks. Is there some way of "shrinking" the save game before monday?
Two bugs: 1) Game constantly crashing if you try to open -> save -> load 2) Save file growth - it is normally around 7 megs in size, however, for some reason i had a few grow at exponential rate up to 175 mb which is when the game could not load it anymore. If someone whats to get the file, please let me know where i can upload it to (i'm sure it will compress) but 175 megs is a lot.
The political correctness which is requires us to keep eyes shut and ears closed mandates we ignore the facts for if spoken of it will be upsetting or embarrassing to others – I choose not to. Every civilized country has punishment for an act of being an accessory to a crime. If one robs a bank and another helps him to get away the second individual is guilty
Recent world events seem to really have set the stage for UN “leaders” to display their true colors so vivid that even a color blind can not continue to be ignorant. When UN was formed in 1945 its key purpose was defined as: “To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention
