Would you rather see 1 more ability per ship, or would you rather have a new ship? Several of the ships in SC2 were one trick ponies, too. Druuge. Supox. Chmrrr. Ilwrathi. It happens when there is great synergy between the primary and secondary attacks.
Actually I really like the passive ability idea for their 3rd ability. although one more active ability would be my personal pick. <

1. One on one ships 2. You pre-select your fleets but after a ship is destroyed, you can pick your next ship 3. Ships, when they meet the edge of the arena will wrap to the other side. It’s not realistic but otherwise, th

I like the star map and the colors (Glad it's not blue). Very nice, can't wait to see it in action. Ships: I am not sure I like having only one attack for most of the ships. This is 2016, so 2 attacks and one defense would be great. Dan'Nath: I really like the main weapon. Does the secondary weapon cause damage? Would be awesome if the projectile also warped your sight for a few seconds since singularity bends light. This doesn't have to be the whole screen, ma
I care more for the background to be "alive" (animated, eye-candied etc.) Actually, I care about this a lot. I care more for ALL Alien names not to be 2-syllable names. Shoot, I care more for that human dialog font to be memorable and not Ariel, Tahoma or Times New Roman (which is what's in the screentshot). I also care to have some shadows during planet exploration, but absolutely don't care for the

I wish we could see a video of each camera in action. I am also concerned about having an arena that allows hiding. This really favors a ship that is fast to stretch out a match against an opponent they can't kill. It would be interesting to have an arena that shrinks the longer a battle goes on.

1: Seems like the option are the same. Just one you are setting to random as opposed to selecting. Random would be nice for not breaking the game flow. 2:Unless the AI is awesome, teams sound frustrating. Great when it's all players for every ship but awful when solo. So I would say 1 vs 1 now and 3 vs 3 when the xbox comes out. You may not need AI players when the fan base is huge. Games that rely to much on team AI's tend to do poorly. I t was why Dragon Age 2 was so panned,

The best example of this would be Final Fantasy series. Each one has similar elements that weave into every tale, but they are all in different universe that never overlap.

All I want is Star Control and Spore to have a baby. I know Origins is not it, but I can continue to hope that one day someone will give us both. Could you imagine playing a space game where multiple species evolved per planet and only one became dominant, making each universe completely different?

Well technology has changed a lot since 1992. Back then, only one kid in the whole neighborhood had a PC. So you had to have local MP. Nowadays not only does everyone have their own PC, but usually multiple PC's. I am not sure the modern gamer technology can handle split screen anymore. Where would they sit?

It's easier to do the full screen, but so much more character to have your ship all around you. Even Star Control did not go full screen. I like having some context with my interactions. Not to mention the inside of a precursor ships would be hella awesome. Precursors were over 10 ft so the bridge would be cavernous.
It's entirely possible that Darkwing + Scryve ship is what happens when you successfully deal with the Scryve. The Scryve are an early menace and cannot be the end game baddie. Thus they need to be taken out of the picture somehow.
I can see the resembla

Nuking bugs from space sounds like a good time. Although if it was like an Umgah piratical joke, then the whole world would be destroyed. I hope dropping nukes in a first encounter will lead to long last repercussions throughout the game. One of the things that made the SC2 story powerful in the beginning was the fact that you literally went from triumphant return to unwanted pariah in a few minutes. Your people were dying and you were trying to save them. Th

The two largest ones that are thematically similar with different finishes makes me want yo know their story. The one that looks like octahedron probably is a pain to drive but looks super interesting. Some look far more advanced than the human ship
Wow, this ship actually gives me a boner. I can't imagine what creature would pilot it... Eve from Wall-E?
Maybe in 3D it will look better. Right now it just sort of looks like a set of disposable Chinet. The only thing flying this puppy is some cold fried chicken.

I find the planetary interface jarring compared to the rest of the art style. Its very technical looking. The graphs should be replaced with stylized animated icons. It would be great to lose the orange prison bars around the planet. Maybe replace it with something that Marvin the Martian would be looking through at the planet with, might be too cartoony. I am definitely in the camp of going back to the planetary screen to assess cargo, deal with story elements, and gi

If you want a Star Control-esque game. Try Planet's Edge by New Worlds Computing. It has the Super Melee Combat with customizable ships and landing with your squad to explore new planets and save earth. Great Music too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU5xpWdonmU

Lemme translate this for you guys from Developenese. Steam keys are out on November the 30th.
I always thought they had till December 20th to get it in while its still technically "fall".

I still pull out Star Control 2 and play it. I have ended the doctrinal conflict so many times, I've lost count. Its not that Star Control is the races, its just that they are so well done and believable without being 1000 variations of humans. They also don't exhaust you with the details. I still have zero idea who the ORZ really are. I can make some educated guesses. But what they really are are interesting. While it would be fun t
