Host quits. Game doesn't count? in Demigod Problem Reports Demigod Forums

Of my 8 pantheon games since the stat reset, 3 have not recorded. All 3 were wins, with the host quiting before the game was finished. Whats the point in a p2p game for all the power of if the game counts to rest on who was randomly picked to host. Sometimes I am sure its due to a crash or the game freezing up at the end. But this is clearly being done intentionally as well. I don't even care about the stats, since they are a complete joke anyways. But its frustrat

I think UB benefits from some late game item combo imbalances more then alot of other demigods. But other then that, he seems fine. There are plenty of ways to deal with him late game with equally leveled and geared demigods. He does get very nasty if he has a higher level or gear, but thats true in demigod in general.

Everyone has this problem, the stats are completely meaningless right now. SD/GPG are aware of it. Usually when a Win gets recorded as a lose, it happens when someone drops and the game splits into two. Whichever game gets finished first, gets recorded. Not sure what leads to games not getting recorded at all, but that seems to be happening alot lately. 4 of my 5 games yesterday didn't record.

I managed to get in to about 5 pantheon games yesterday. Of the 5, 4 were wins, and not recorded. The lose recorded normally of course. Between the horrid stat recording, and the almost gauranteed unbalanced teams, its just really hard to justify wasting time playing anything but custom right now. When they fix the stat recording, I will give it a try again.

6073 and 6112 - 6132 all UDP are the default ports. People just recommend 6000-6200 to simplify things for people new to port forwarding. My connection works fine with the default ports only forwarded.

I used to get it alot with every demigod. For me, it now happens alot less. I have mostly played UB and Erebus since the fix, and it does happen to me more with Erebus. But thats likely because I play UB with less abilities then Erebus.

Its not something that bothers me. I just want the enemy dg dead, whoever gets the credit. Would much rather have my kills stolen all match, then have an enemy escape because someone didn't want to take my kill.

Nice guide. Should help some people that don't know how to do this stuff. Although, should be no reason to need to forward anything TCP, just UDP. And I still don't understand why so many people are recommending forwarding almost 200 ports. Should only need 6073, and 6112-6132 all UDP for this game.

Was doing fine with the beta version for a while, but starting yesterday, every custom game me and my friend try, freezes at map load. Reverted to 105 to fix, but 108 was working much better multiplayer wise before it broke. EDIT: Did some more testing on 108 today, since 105 keeps unhandled exceptioning on me. Yes, both players had quit by the end of the game in the one of mine that reported wrong. One in the first minute, the other left in the middle of the game.

Same thing is showing up in my recent games. Games we won, show as lost, with people who lost having the winning favor etc. Hopefully all these favor and stat issues will be worked out before the next pantheon tournament begins.

I bought the game, even with all the reports of connection issues, because of the status reports and how on top of it and honest you were being. When developers or publishers take the time to keep their customers informed, it goes a long way with me.

Thanks for the feedback Spooky Yeah I have definately let it run alot longer then that and never seen it. Most of the games that did finally connect took about 5 minutes, with no info button. And a few of the ones who never connected i let run for at least 10 minutes, and never saw it. So I don't think its a time issue. Maybe I will try uninstalling and redownloading. I have attempted to play about 10 pantheon match so far. About 3 made it into actual games. The rest I let sit for about 10 minutes before i gave up and canceled on them. You can only raise relations once per turn to any given race. So only the first set of stuff you send them that turn will improve relations. Also how well they recieve your gift is effected by how long it has been since you last gave them a gift. So giving gifts turn after turn with no break in between, doesn't help much at all. Trade routes with the race you are trying to ally with help alot also. They can really make the difference getting from friendly to close. I also usually have

I had a fun game with all 5 races set to Pure Good/Intelligent. I went pure evil immediately, and pulled off a alliance victory, with every race allied with every other races. Not a single war was ever fought between any of the major races. The best part, was when the fundimentalists popped up in the middle of the game. Thankfully, they only grabbed 3-4 of my systems, and I was able to retake them pretty fast. Gonna have to try it again on Masocistic some day. ~SDC~

They turn around all the time with both colony and constructors in my games, when I have them beat to a resource or planet. Of course, I always play on Intelligent or higher AIs, so maybe it only happens on the higher ai levels. ~SDC~

If you are an experienced 4x game player, you will probably find anything under intelligent way to easy. And the AI is very susceptable to diplomacy on any level under Incredible. Unfortunately, most of their efforts to adjust the AIs willingness to give you way to many credits for tech and trade goods on levels below incredible, have been meet with alot of complaints. Yet I have gotten Space Monsters in 3 of my last 5 games. But before that, I hadn't seen them for about 15 games. I do agree that it is very hard to make it to pure good as it is now. But I think that is more a result of how little most good picks raise your morality, as opposed to the bad events which drop you very fast. It should take a serious effort to reach pure good, but as it is now, it is almost impossible, with a large or smaller game to hit pure good without using cheesy repea
