BoomFrog...thanks for the reply, I finally understand how it works...it takes some of us a little while to come to full understanding...I can now tell my colonies to "...make it so" and will get full compliance.

I asked about how to set colony rally points and was directed to the tutorial (duh?) on that subject...thanks, don't know why it never occurred to me, other than my tutorial has always been jerky on the sound playback with lots of momentary pauses and repeats?? What's that all about! Anyway, after finding the information requested, I tried to apply it to the game I am currently playing (1.12b) and found that both the methods for setting colony rally points are greyed out for every one of my pl
For Coder's Information...discovered an small syntax error in the Quarterly Report: Playing the Drengin as a Galactic Republic( I know...I know Drengi voting, lol!), and the report stated that: "...Earth's colonies gain increasing..." whereas it should read Drengi colonies (in my particular case) or whomever one might be playing at the time. Some of us Terrans follow the path less travelled...just for grins, don't you know! Anyway, it's just a small item and the game is getting a workout at
I must be overlooking something...I can't seem to discover how to set a rally point that effects only ships from one planet. The starship rally point governor I can manage, but I'm having difficulty with the Colony Rally Point governor. Anyone out there who can illuminate how this works. Checked for threads but can't seem to find anything applicable. Thanks in advance
IMHO, if the computer can demand (ask?) that you remove fleets, starbases, etc., then we should have the ability to do likewise. The computer already pretty fairly evaluates whether it wants to take you on/out militarily. It should be a simple assessment of yes (I'll dismantle/move) or no (make me!). Perhaps your declaration to move or face the consequences, can only be delivered if /when one of your warships comes upon or stands in sensor range of said transgressor? Not a programmer, so onl
How about being able to ask(demand!) that the AI remove a starbase or fleet from your territory or face the consequences? Also would it be possible to ask them to surrender or face annihilation!
I'm having a related problem, that of duplicate names from previous games showing up in the planet's ship building list, but not in the shipyard listing where you go to design/delete/obsolete the designs. Any ideas on how to correct this?
Anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate duplicate ship names from the ship build list . When I access the shipyard button, there is only one design, but when I go to the individual planet ship building list, old versions appear. I know that the program recommends you give a different name to ships when building, but becomes confusing to keep naming the same design a different name each time you upgrade it from game to game. I've looked in the ship files and do not see any additional configur
