Thanks Sylvain St-Amand , I will try that when I do decide to install SP2. I am still waiting to check on all the other applications I have to make sure there are not conflicts with any of them before installing the update.

Just a head's up that our testing of BootSkin and Windows XP SP2 shows that there is an odd problem. After installing SP2, the first reboot afterwards may cause a blue screen (or other bad behavior). The second reboot seems to clear it up. We are looking into what is causing this. It's harmless but if you're not prepared for it it is kind of scary. We are looking into s
The link you provided, works for me using IE. I wonder if it's a compatibility problem with Opera? OK, I wasn't fast enough, guess it's not a problem with Opera. [Message Edited]
have 3 computers that are allowed access through my router and unless said hacker can get the MAC address of one of them, he's not going to be sending any data through my router. It looks like you have it locked down to specific MACs, which is good. I assume you also have encryption turned on. My comment was made in response to your com
You're going to have to give us a little more detail about the problem you are having. I can't understand what you are having trouble with.
Besides, if they get onto the network that's only half the battle, they still have to try and get into my computer. It's really pretty secure as long as you take the necessary precautions. f0r3 , maybe the goal of someone breaking into your network isn't hacking your computer. Maybe they just want to steal your bandwidth. Once they get into
a is at a different frequency than b and g. Range is less. b is at 11 gb per second while a and g are at 55 gb per second. I would recommend studying up on the technology before buying it. You want to make a wise decision up front, rather than having a boat anchor after a poor decision. Whatever you do, don’t leave the wireless access point at it’s factory default security settings. Change the default SSID. Turn off broadcasting of the SSID, and turn on encryption.

I don't mind the banner at the top as much as the space at the right. If the list of sections at the right could be resized, it would be fantastic. Right now, instead of having three colums for the web browser, there are four (including the right hand list of "sub-sections"). That makes the space for the message board too small. If I could resize that right hand column, I would be a happy camper.
It depends if your talking about 802.11a, 802.11b, or 802.11g. At BestBuy, most 802.11b products have really come down in price. You could get the wireless router and a couple of wireless cards for around $100, after rebates. All I can say about RAM is the more the better. However, older computers are limited on how much they can handle. Make sure you get the correct type of RAM for your computer. I watch the weekly newspaper advertisements and wait until the products I d

OK, I assumed wrong thinking that you were talking about Microsoft, but still the statement OSX is based on Unix (PC) is not right. UNIX is not equivalent to PC. UNIX was not written with a Intel or AMD processor in mind. UNIX runs on all sorts of processors, and most UNIX OS's have nothing to do with Personal Computers. Yes, LINUX (UNIX like) do
OSX is based on Unix (PC). Where did that come from? Yes, OSX does have UNIX under the hood so to speak, but UNIX is about as far from a Microsoft OS as you can get. I assume by (PC), you are referring to the Microsoft OS.
Jafo, While I agree with your statement: This 'commercialized' interception of private communication for profit or gain is something I won't be a party to. You also stated: The issue is that it appears the content will be 'modifi

Diary by Bread I found her diary underneath a tree. and started reading about me The words she's written took me by surpise you'd never read them in her eyes. They said that she had found the love she waited for. Wouldn't you know it, she wouldn't show it. When she confronted with the writing there, simply pretended not to care. I passed it off as just in keeping with her total disconcerting air and though she tried to hide the lov
