Yes Ion Stream, I was a lurker too. I didn't want to commit to intense beta testing and feedback, but I do want to play this game. This looks like the space game I've wanted since I've had a PC. Anyone out there taking a day off from work when they get it?

How about a recreational/sports fad that sweeps through the galaxy. It would have to be something all races (or most) could participate in. Think about how wrapped up in sports and games we get. Maybe it ends up being pub darts, anyone can play a little, but with laser darts, it takes a lot to master the art. Does it lead to friendly competition, and an exchange of culture, perhaps augmenting the cultural influence of a leading participant? Does it lead to increased friction be
