Aw, man. It'd be nice as hell to have a set of icons at the bottom for like a shutdown button etc. Any way to bypass that setting?

Hey, guys, and thanks for awesome products. I've subscribed to the object desktop and I'm happy so far. However, when I launch the start menu (Start 8, windows 8 start menu set to 'wide') the Start8 dock flickers and only appears for less than half a second. What gives? Thanks in advance!
