The PC with Start11 Enhanced Taskbar enabled is acting squirrely, but the other PC is not, so I turned off Enhanced Taskbar on both PCs. I will report back after letting them run for another week or so.
FYI I just updated both PCs to Start 11 v2.7.3.0
Since I have 2 PCs currently running Start11, I have disabled enhanced taskbar on one and left it active on the other for testing purposes. I will report back my findings. thank you
However, my other PC already had both settings correct, so this will NOT correct the problem.
"Always combine taskbar buttons" was not selected, so I changed this setting in Start11. Win Explorer was already set to "Open each folder in the same window", so I left this alone. Thanks for your help.
This is a VERY long-standing and chronic problem that I have been experiencing on multiple Windows machines. After a few days of routine activity on my PCs, the Explorer folder on the taskbar will stop functioning as a single icon for multiple windows and instead create new taskbar icons for each new Explorer window. If I restart the Windows Explorer app in Windows Task Manager then it resets to the correct state. After
I looked in the Start11 settings as found that "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" has been turned on. "Disable all taskbar features for compatibility with other taskbar mods" has been disabled.
I don't know what the Enhanced taskbar is, so I guess not. My Start11 version is 2.72. I try not to run beta versions because they're not as stable.
Yes, yes, and yes! I assumed that the problem was Groupy related, but apparently wrongly so. Are there settings in Start11 that I need to check?
