I enjoyed Pitch Black very much and thought Chronicles was ok, I would say that Riddick looks a lot more like Pitch Black in terms of grittiness, style and plot. I also have to say that although Vin Diesel is never going to win an Oscar I actually think this is undoubtably his best character and he plays him very well.
