I installed the Multiverse DLC on the GOG version today - and it is completely empty. So , I am gathering from the answer posted below, that anyone who purchased SC:O on GOG is out of luck when it comes to utilizing the Multiverse DLC and all the parts that go along with it in regards to MOD sharing. We will only be able to create new ships, buildings, adventures for use by ourselves. There will be no way for us to download anyth

Thanks for the update. The DLC is not there yet, probably due to GOG having to go through their tests. The 1.1 update is only available through the Galaxy Client, the files for manual update are still 1.02. So I expect it will be a day or three. You guys are doing your part, too bad GOG cant do theirs a bit quicker. Should have bought the game on Steam - but had a $40 credit to use on GOG - may still end up buying it on Steam so that will work out well for

Game received 1.1 update today on GOG, which is very nice. Just wondering about the Multiverse DLC that was released on Steam today. Will this becoming to GOG anytime soon?

LOL - get where you are coming from. Remember very clearly those opinions about Steam. I have over 100 games on Steam and have been using it for many years. I have 80 on GOG, most are old DOS games from my youth and were very cheap or free and for these games GOG is great. Most of the first run games I purchased I ended up re-purchasing on Steam (usually during a sale) due to the issues brought up in this thread. I am done with GOG.

Well it was finally updated to 1.02 - but only through the GALAXY client. If you check the files for manual download on the GOG website - they are still at 1.01.

What I gather from reading through the thread - If GOG are telling the truth - this applies only to the GALAXY client - which has a rollback feature. The patches are still tested before they are posted to their website for manual download. Oh well, I am done with games on GOG. I am probably just going to re-purchase SC:O on STEAM so I can play an up to date game. Today they announced more minor updates - free upcoming DLC.

I took a look at the link you posted - and according to the information in that thread JudasIscariot: The developers publish them independent of us, we simply test them afterwards in case a regression is introduced :) BKGaming: Okay so that would be yes they show up immediately on Galaxy after a dev publishes them to all Galaxy users, but we sti

Look I am not trying to start an argument, all I am trying to do is get support for a game. All I know is the customer who makes the mistake (which I will not make again) of purchasing a first run game via GOG is caught in the middle. I have contacted GOG via email, via forum posts, via support tickets and have yet to get any response. I have even requested a full refund due to this issue. In the future I will stick with Steam. Enjoying the game by

Actually, I did some research and GOG has a DEV PORTAL that allows developers to upload patches directly to Galaxy. Devs have complete control over patching and can push out patching to every Galaxy user (just like they can on Steam), but only if they decide to use it

I realize Steam is the dominant platform but many of us did purchase SCO on GOG. A patch was released yesterday (10/3) on Steam and we are still waiting for it to be released on GOG. Any idea when this will happen? Is there a reason we can't get patches the same day they are released on Steam?
