G_A I hope you take a shot at skining. It will certainly be as great as your wall designs. Keep up the great work. BTW. We did started almost at the same time. And guess what?? We cleared 100k DL's at the same time I just checked My Skins and I'm clocking 100,335 DL's <img src="http://imag
Ahhhh ............Errrrrr ......Hmmmmm Sorry, I had to peek in. Congrats to both of you. Wish you the best <img src="http://i

Dark, you can select the program that you want to use to edit the graphics. When you right clik and then select Edit With.. , clik on customize and add the paint program you want to use as the default editor. This way, whenever you double clik on the image, it will open it with the paint program you selected.
Nahhh, Dont give up..... we dont like quiters here in WC I'll share a trick of the trade with you. Open SkinStudio. From the File menu, click on New/From Template. On the next window double click the icon Windows Skin. Type a File Name/Name for your skin. A Luna template should now appear on the preview window. Click (per example) on the top window frame of the preview image. On the right
Have not seen it yet. Hopefully I'll have some time this coming weekend. But from what I heard and read. Its a MUST see flick.
The notepad is use to write the codes or numbers used on the settings of the margins and color codes. Makes your job a lot easier
Dark, to create skins, basicaly you only need SkinStudio, Notepad and a paint program ( I use PhotoShop 7 ) but you can use any one you are confortable with. The rest is up to you imagination. Oh, and dont forget that if you get 'stuck' and need help. You can always post a messege.
Ah Ha "Take on me"
There are a few sites that offers animated backgrounds. The one that comes to mind is this one >> http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/movies/ You can do a searc on Animated Wallpapers or Animated Desktop Backgrounds. Im sure a few will pop up.
I have seen lots of animated wallpapers. I also know they are real RAM killers. But as far as Animated Logons go, LogonStudio dies not supports animated files yet.
I use to have a similar problem with my old PC. I found out the thing that was freezing the defrag process was some of my running programs. I had to close all my runing programs before running defrag.
On top of the main page click on 'Upload' Scroll down the list and click on 'WallPapers' Fill the required boxes/fields When done, click on 'Upload Bitmap' Cross your fingers and pray it gets accepted
I read just about every tutorial on skining. It really helped me a lot. Before I make a skin, I 1st decide what combination of colors I want on it (eg. blue/yellow, gray/red, etc ) This way its easier for me when I start to alter the graphics or if I want to make the graphics from scratch. Luna is a good style to start with. You'll also learn a lot form tweaking and previewing.
I'll have to go with Wolverine's power. The ability to heal, slow down the age process, keen sences and the adamantium covered skeleton.

lol@ T-Man. Thank God it was 1 "little" line and not the whole page
Great added features. I really like them. Thankx and congrats to T-Man and crew!!
I agree with the idea of pouring some of the "spotlight" on new skiners, it will be a great ego-booster for newcomers and new talents. Even tho I rather use the present Top Authors list as a motivation tool for striving my self to create better designs. I look at the list and see names such as Adni and Treetog, and I say: -Hell, I gotta try to be on that 1st or 2nd spot.
Thankx Knatzz. I guess I'm gonna have to use the long way >
I've seen many artist/skiners that upload theme packs that includes Blinds, walls, icons, cursors, etc. And on the description they post the link to every item that it's included on the pack. How can I inter-link my items? Do I upload a skin first and wait for acceptance and then upload wall and place a link to the skin? or there's an easier way to go about?
As some of you might have notice, I have a hard time picking a title for my designs. Some of them, like the scenery designs, I pick the title before I make the design and they are named according to the design. Abstract designs, I have a little trouble with. Usually I make the design and then sit for hours trying to come up with a name. I stare at the design as if to say-- "Tell me what you want to be call" BUT....that doesnt work ><img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/mad.gif" bord
On a Home PC level, I imagine something like what Ton Cruise has in the Minority Report flick. 3D Holographic image proyection, virtual keyboard and a super Hi-Fi surround system from components not bigger than a regular beeper
