When I start my computer, the taskbar takes forever to load. Sometimes it is the last thing on the screen to appear(after widgets and OD). And then once I do get a taskbar, the system tray is way off. Generally the only icons that show in the tray are Windowblinds and my internet connection. I've done a reinstall of Windows, and I'm using SP2. It shouldn't be a virus, I install the Anti-virus before I set up my Internet connection. I don't think

Can't believe I missed that. Need my eyes (or brain) checked. Thanks Jam
I have Tiggz GT3 recycle bin widget that I wanted to use, but I don't know how to hide the regular recycle bin. It would be kind of redundant to have 2 bins on my desktop. If the solution includes hiding all desktop icons, that's fine, I don't use any shortcuts on my desktop.
Unfortunately, to make sure the problem wasn't with the install on my computer, I did a complete reinstall of DX3 (including deleting all themes, etc). I wanted to run a registry cleaner to make sure there were no conflicting entries left from DX2. But I plan on rebuilding the same exact theme, and if I have problems with it, i will be sure to pass it along. This is also probably a dumb question, but I can't find it in the docs. What is the differe
I am having a few problems with DX3, but they could be due to my ignorance, so I thought I would get some input from others. The Desktop I created uses 3 widgets and 1 DX object (GT3 mail, calendar, CPU meter and weather) 1 - The DX builder lauches every time I start my computer, even though I unchecked the box for that. 2 - Even though I have the widgets set to inset mode, they sometimes won't start that way. 3 - I get scripting errors oc
They're giving them away like candy now, I have 50 invites...... So many floating around can't get rid of them.
Thanks for the advice. That didn'r even dawn on me....
I use 3 different widgets on my desktop, and I was wondering what is the memory and CPU difference between running several widgets and DX. DX has some objects (like email checkers) that don't work as widgets right now and i was wondering if switching would slow my system too much because I only have a 1.7 Ghz P4 with 256MB memory. Any advice would be appreciated.
Great to hear that Fuzzy - Looking forward to it. Just a thought, the current version could be free and the version with 64-bit color could be part of OD..... sort of like the shareware for other programs. Might drum up some more subscribers......
I love using Bootskin, it's definitely an improvement over the lame Windows boot. When it came out they were talking about it advancing to being able to have 64-bit color (I believe), but it hasn't been updated in almost a year.. Anyone know if it's still being work on or is it dead as far as development, cause I know the guys at Stardock are busy............ I hope it's not dead. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Crying.gif" border=0 A
I have to agree Firefox is a better browser. I've been using it since 0.7 and have had no complaints and I love tabbed browsing. As for extensions the mozilla homepage has extensions and themes for Firefox and I believe they are checked for not being malicious. One thing to check out though is the IDN spoofing vulnerability and how to fix it. It's a security risk recently discovered. The is a post about it here in the Internet section ( FIREFOX SP
I have a widget that I imported from a DX object that doesn't start in the same position as when I turned off my machine. Is there any way to make it remember it's position? It's kind of annoying having to move it every time I start up.
I have 50 to give away myself. Don't know where they all came from. Any interested email at [email protected]. I don't even know 50 people so I don't know what to do with them. Sorry about the double post.

I have 50 invites to give away so there's plenty to go around.... Just email me at [email protected] and I'll send 'em out.
Grew up in Atlanta. Love the Falcons, Braves, and even the lowly Hawks. The the Falcons didn't get it done today, we'll be back. And I do have to admit after watching the Pats today,
My username only gave one match to a user at DeviantArt. But under my real name there were two obituaries (one for a trumpeter in Austalia), I also play keyboards in a reggae band and I'm a Rotarian who supports a Children's hospital. At least no porn or weird kinky stuff.....
The design of the new site is very cool. Only problems for me are not being able to pick galleries displayed on main page and it would be real nice to see the date and any UPDATE date on a submission so I know it's been updated without having to go to the more details page or checking the newest updated list. And if possible it would be nice to be able to pick which page you want to go to. When you're going through an entire gallery this can get
I have the same problem and haven't been able to fix yet. I was told to contact Stardock support, just haven't done it yet.
Got yours too Badger. Thanks for doing it.
I agree totally also. I hate having ANYTHING on my computer I did not intend to put there, period. Unfortunately, too many companies are trying to put "bundled software" on your computer to "defray the cost of the program". And you can't always trust sites. I sometimes use CNet's Download.com, which will have a warning about spy/adware bundled in a program. But I have found a few that had bundled sofware and there was no warning. Makes me paranoi
Didn't dawn on me they might be in your packs. Between a crash and a bad backup CD I lost all my OD icons and I haven't gotten far enough through to get to your packs yet. (4,000 icons is a lot to look at ) I'll d/l it thanks for the link.
I have been using Firefox since version 0.7 and also use Thunderbird, and both are far superior to MS products. Tabbed browsing is very useful, and the extensions you can get are very nice (FoxyTunes and WeatherFox being excellent examples). I do however find it kind of funny reading this article here as certain functions at JoeUser.com don't work with Firefox. Go Firefox <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0
Just a request for some out there to do a png for Morpheus (the P2P program). I haven't seen one anywhere, I don't have the talent to make one and the icon with the program has LOUSY resolution. Thank you to anyone who will do it.
I thought it was freeware - never mind the email request.
