This problem management record has nothing to do with product keys. It's an execution time FAILURE from the START menu when the Object Desktop Manager tab is clicked. THIS HAS BEEN AN OPEN PROBLEM for 18+ months. The message text is poor at best and offers nothing to the user to resolve the issue. It's a PRODUCT CODE DEFECT. If the problem is known as you state, please offer a solution for submitting a dump, trace, setting a breakpoint to gather register

A Stardock customer since 1995 and a programmer for much longer. Thank you. And for the record, I just paid another annual renewal fee.
I click on the Object Desktop Manager from the start menu and get the following pop up box: "Problem Setting Up Automatic Updates" "Sorry, unable to setup automatic update checks due to an unexpected error. Please try again. If it fails again, you may run Object Desktop manually to retrieve updates until the issue is resolved." Until the issue is resolved? By whom and when? Unfortunately, the problem ONLY occurred with the START 10 update FOR anniversary edition, which I put on before the upgrade to anniversary. So, the problem has NOTHING to do with MS... it was caused by a Stardock code change. Not all of my icons are corrupt. In addition, when I reinstall software, I no longer get the icons correctly formatted... only a white icon. Icons in my Start menu are in the same state. Anniversary installation proceeded just fine on this a

Unfortunately, I can't upload any screen captures because the corruption precludes me from doing so. To "reset" my desktop, I right mouse button click on the desktop - typically anywhere outside of a fence. That causes the spinning circle to cause the screen to completely blank and then the desktop gets refreshed along with the system/notification tray. I ran the diagnostic tool and h
I routinely and regularly apply all Microsoft maintenance as it becomes available. Secondly, I apply Stardock software upgrades as they are pushed. In the last two weeks, I have been have horrible problems with my desktop and Windows explorer. Symptoms include the following: 1. tabs float above the window, 2. entire desktop has to be refreshed - I usually have to hit the context key on the desktop to force a complete refresh 3. system tray and icons i
How do I assign the Print Screen key to launch the Snipping Tool with Keyboard LP? Windows 8 Pro O/S The Print Screen key does not appear to be recognized by Keyboard LP. I know of other tools that will do this on SourceForge as I use them at work. Thank you.
I have a Windows 2000 SP4 desktop system on my router along with 4 other machines. And, yes, I'm still getting service from Microsoft for some of the products on the Win 2K machine (stable and very useful) with Office 2003. I see that Multiplicity will not install on Win 2K as it is not a valid application (I tried.), but can I control a Win 2K system? The primary is Win 8 PRO. The laptops are VISTA, Win 7 Professional, Win 2K SP4. &n
Same question here: (1) softcopy of an installation, configuration, and user guide with step-by-step annotations (pictures included), (2) troubleshooting. Also, how to use it... not a features list - I can get that from marketing. Software without documentation is useless. IBM certainly sets the bar for some of the best.
