so, should I be submitting a ticket or just emailing support? Sounds like refunds are through email?

what options are there for Lifetime Founders who spent $100?
I don't know if Fred and Paul played Starfleet Battles, but even if they did the biggest influence on Melee is clearly Spacewar. Which was one of the first major computer games and was made in 1962, so it predates Starfleet Battles and even Star Trek. Most of the basics of Melee are there in primitive form - two ships fighting with a top-down view, the central gravity well, screen wraparound, inertia. Star Control polished and "modernized" i
For my next trick, I'll get Steve Russell to send a C&D to everyone here! And Star Trek. Spacewar predates them ALL! But seriously... Who the hell is Kavik Kang and why am I wandering through so many walls of text?
this must be what a child of divorce feels like... Also... why the hell are we talking about Star Fleet Battles so often? Did Spacewar rip off SFB too?
Our job is to make a terrific Star Control game. And yes, given these events, future Star Control games will have the Ur-Quan, Spathi, etc. in them.
that seems awfully retaliatory...
^ What train? I don't know if you're that naive or what... FaP showed nothing for Ghosts. It's literally Ghost of a game at the moment. What train are you on?... A Ghost train that doesn't exist?... Fkin' kids these days........
Kids? I owned SC1 and 2 as launch titles! I'm on the Ur-quan train. I want to know what happens after the Sa-Matra... If even one of those 7 points that P&F brought up is true
I'm all aboard the P&F train... I got on Stardock at first because it was 'something'. I was hoping it was going to be two things with that announcement and not... this.
As long as nobody claims to be giving real legal advice, I think it's the equivalent of sports commentary.
well, it's a lot of speculation that could be hurting both sides and the fans. Apparently there's already a divide between TeamStardock and TeamTFB... and people are going after each other. What good does that do? Let the companies do what they need to do and stop being at each others throats and being on a
Not interested enough to read the entire thread, but I find it disgusting that this has devolved into a legal battle which potentially will be problematic for both the new games in development. If I hadn't already founded, I would certainly waited before putting money down at this point.
Yeah, I'm wondering if there are refund opportunities if this continues. I'm not necessarily asking for one, but I know oth
this is all very disappointing...
I'm hoping this is resolved in a manner that allows P&F full control of their IPs and that untangles StarDock from any idiocy caused by Accolade and Activision without tanking them or this product. I am first and foremost a Star Control fan and I also believe in creator's rights.
I was mostly just trying to... um... support the making of this game and show there's a market for this.
and did I miss being able to name a star? that sucks, I would have had a good name too :(
ok, great. same vault?
Hit me.
or Starflight...
Will Paul and Fred have any input on your story in order to keep things square with their story? Is there any concern that there will be reduced interest in Origins with a 'true sequel'? Will there be any cross promotion between the two games? It seems like you guys have had a good working relationship with Paul and Fred up to now. Will that continue? I'm of the mind set of 'more Star Control is good' either way. Hell, I'm bought in anyway... not like I could go anywhere :D</p
aha this is what I get for not leaving the Founders area ever.
so, where does that put you guys in relation to Fred and Paul's announcement? Also, SC3 doesn't exist...

Alien encounters I don't think a fully rendered 3D background is necessary. a good 2D matte with maybe some animation is fine. As for the aliens themselves, I would much prefer 2D animation there as well... or at the very least, make it look 2D-like. Just no puppets... Super Melee I think I'm in camp #1, but with a caveat... I think planets should be VERY far apart. It should start off like a single planet battle but if
Perhaps if an autolanding system took up valuable space on your landing vehicle... or took up more fuel units... or both. Or it could reduce available crew spots, making it more difficult to survive.
Seeing as it's just a macro on a touch screen now, I don't see anything happening.
