I'd like to hear a bit more about it, and future plans as well, now that the lawsuit is finally resolved! :)
Console and "Definitive" editions Once Earth Rising is done, we do plan to create console versions of the game. That will, again, have to wait until the lawsuit is over since, again, Paul and Fred seem to sue everyone who tries to sell the game (GOG and Valve). So obviously, Sony, Nintendo, and Microso

I approve, season/expansion passes showing up as one item in the store but being delivered over time seems fine to me, and the pricing seems reasonable if the total content is equivalent to that of an expansion (although in all fairness the price won't apply to a lot of founders). On DLC : The real issue is not the quantity of DLC (although it can contribute), it's the price to get the 'whole package.' Let's use Paradox's Crusader Kings II and St
Two things from my play of our solar system: 1: flying around is far too slow 2: flying to each planet to scan it for important stuff - fun, but if we visit a lot of systems I'm going to want to be able to scan a whole system at a time, and then beeline to the goodies/secrets/unique items. It's going to become a real grind if that's not possible These both might be things that are fixed with ship upgrades as you play, if so, my only comment would be that much faster mo
Finally got around to playing the intro founders have access to. Can't wait to jump into the full game, love the humor and love the music, can't wait to blast aliens while being a sarcastic Captain Kirk. Gotta say, I'll miss the dev diaries, it's been something I've looked forward to reading each month. Great job team and thanks for keeping us in the loop on development all this time, it's been a fun experience! Salud! [e digicons][/e]
Re the aliens: Also: shortly after acquiring the Star Control IP we offered to transfer it all to them at cost. They declined. They could have had it all.
This has always been the key thing for me. Even if they thought at the time you had purchased fairy dust, by not telling you as such then, and doing this now, they've revealed their lack of character. That's bad business. All of this comes off as nothing more than
The intro to Valerian instantly made me think of Star Control. Movie was ok, but that scene was fantastic
[e digicons][/e] Loving the tunes! Definitely going in a good direction and looking forward to getting my hands on the soundtrack!! The more I see updated on the planet exploration the more interesting that looks as well, all around the planets look more and more interesting each time you give us an update on their direction
Just chiming in to say that the lander game actually looks pretty fun, would be interested in some degree of combat with boss fights (sandworms bursting out on a desert planet anyone?), keeping that arcadey feel. As a purely resource gathering game, still excited about it, but as has already been pointed out, closely monitor the time it ends up demanding. Going planet to planet in Mass Effect 2 was fun the first few times, but I absolutely dreaded it by the mid-game, an
Having played a bit with the latest update: 1. Love the new arena, much more interesting and would like to see a variety of environments and maps to fight in during the story 2. Collision with objects... is odd. It definitely makes contact, but bounces in weird ways, doesn't feel right. Wish I was better at defining what precisely would correct this 3. Now that there are things to run into, the camera is an issue. I hit things without seeing them because they were off
Just wanted to chime in that I fully support not having screen wrapping. Didn't care for it as a kid, didn't care for it in asteroids, don't care for it now. The asteroid field mechanic sounds great - looking forward to trying it in action. Seems like a great way to limit the play field a bit, as long as it doesn't kick in too soon. IDK how I feel about leashing, hasn't been too noticeable in the few rounds I've played so far, will pay more attention to it. I can say this thou

I saw someone on the steam forums advocate for coop campaign support ( A tall order ). If we're going to push release out a whole year, I think a drop in drop out coop mechanic (that retains both player's progress if possible) would be a major selling point. Of course, this would require multiple ships in SM and flying on the campaign map. I'm no developer, so maybe that isn't as easy as I think it is,
Howdy! Just wanted to drop by and say I'm excited to be a founder! I think I'm somewhat unique in that I'm coming into this without having actually played the original games, though I am familiar with them. I feel like most people who eventually purchase this game will be in the same boat, so I hope that I find a way to contribute from an outside perspective. I understand a lot of the dev team has experience from past Sid Meier's games, so hopefully a bit of th
