It's been working just fine for me, the only time I've ever experienced minidumps were when I playing with the Distant Stars mod (which is in alpha, hence the crashy shenanigans). I've played from 1v1 to massive 10 player ffa on the random huge maps with multiple solar systems.
unwary
Along the lines as Rebel44 said, basically play as all the races and you'll learn the strengths and weaknesses of their units. Like If you are Advent and you are facing late game Vasari, then you must have all your culture research done and be fighting in your own culture to minimize their phase missle-shield negation tech.
Don't suppose you could upload your save file, I'd like to try my hand against such an unstoppable ai. I'll even post a video should I succeed in beating it showing how I did it.
... As they won't recognize you they'll probably assume you're a noob, and you'll get picked last, but thats how it works.
So basically just like elementary school, always get picked last for dodgeball.
I ran across an odd ui bug for Rebellion. Here's what I did to make it happen: First quit the match. Then I click and drag on the background, the typical selection box appears. I then move the cursor over the Main Menu button and rightclick. I'm returned to the Main menu and still have the selection box active and I can't get rid of it This is a pretty harmless bug but seems like it could be easily fixed (prevent r
Woohoo, it's fixed!
Is there a better resource than the link that " Add Planets " points to? It wasn't very informative...
They should add the feature where this ability kills your dog when used.
On use of Strip Mine, it removes your "SPACE PONIES!" achievement :p
Pirate bases = Titan food. Go get some nice xp.
There are other factors that come into play, like has the AI researched more shield/hull upgrades, are you fighting in their culture, or is their titan higher level than yours? Keep in mind that Advent fleets have great synergy between the different units and they now have anti-phase missile blocking tech now...
Don't forget to research into increasing your diplomatic relations with other players, that way they're less inclined to perceive you as a threat and thus less likely to form alliances to attack you or send pirates to your worlds.
Clearly the developers gave Co-Optimus the Advent-only nudity cheat code, that's the only explanation for the Space porn comment. Can't wait for the modders to unlock it for us.
Xenomorph should've sent out a scout first before running into that starbase, shame on him. As for the Iconus Guardians, he outplayed you by taking advantage of your fleet's shortrange attacks and his titans awesome attack range. Xeno knew he had make a lot because of all the antimatter needed to keep it up. There's no reason for you to make a post screaming for nerfs because you got angry.
No mine fix (that I can see listed) and Ragnarov along with other Titans got nerfed. Will continue to use it as SOLAR SYSTEM'S most expensive mine detonator.
FTFY
I think letting the player decide on the amount of superweapons via an ingame number field at the Game Options screen would be the better choice instead of hardcoding a limit. Giving people options on how they want to play the game has always been good.
Here's a quick little chart showing the damage reduction values from armor. For Shield Mitigation, it's just damage*shieldMitigationAmount, like 100dmg * 0.65 (65%) = 65 actual damage hitting your hull.
For Rebellion's custom GalaxyForge maps, it's "My Documents\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\GalaxyForge".
When I last checked, the name of the game is "Sins of a Solar Empire", not "Sins of a Limited Empire".
Yay! No more annoying random culture spreading from those Advent Loyalist AI.
It's best to do slowly and carefully. The developers want us beta testers to see the way a race will play, how its mechanics develop, and how the different factions interact with each other. Trying to create 6 factions (3 races with 2 factions each) with patching and balancing, all at the same time, would be an extreme pain.
Rawr, I say.
