To me that is still playing a single universe game.No different to reading a Space Opera Novel, finishing it and then reading a Murder Mystery. No connection

It's only about presenting the User made Universes differently. NeverWinter Online has a notice board you can examine and that offers player made content to do.It works great. As long as there are options/choices to play default Universes, or play with a lets say a "Notice board system" within a chosen Universe game. Otherwise the multiverse thing the dev's talk about doesn't work. eg Play a Universe.Log out.Load up another universe.Where

Just a thought. Is there a way to incorporate user made content into the current universe your playing? I don't want to be playing a universe then leave to play another by using a menu on a UI.It breaks the immersion.I like the idea/option of the game being one continual game that never finishes slipping through universes full of unknowns. Wouldn't it be cool while your in your game universe that you discover one of the Trans Dimensional Blenders (Loo

I welcome the thought of future proofing your work. I already experience how sad it is to have games that struggle to work on my pc or fit naturally across my screen. Time spent making this happen is a positive move. I think your artist should check out the most downloaded popular player made ships on Galactic Civ III Steam Workshop and get an idea of the styles of ships the players are preferring. This may help you think about the look of the expanded h

I'm fascinated by the whole process. I don't need to know about who likes milk and sugar with their coffee but the process of making a game enlightens me concerning issues other developers might have in their projects. So any information about the engine, art, story, music and thoughts behind it all are all welcomed by me.I think these particular topics would be of more interest to the majority of people. But I may be wrong. But as well a hint to the stor

Forgot to add to my spec's: 120ml Pro Tech Armor cleaning kit for those lumpy sneezy bits on your screen.Includes a microfiber cloth. You know for those times when your tricked into believing there's a distant asteroid on your screen.

[quote who="Volusianus" reply="43" id="3662547"] Pretty sure exploration isn't just about what kind of planets are out there, but what is on them. The moon is just a rock, yes, but it's our rock. Also it has robots on it. Sure, Mercury is pretty much like any planet in close proximity to their sun, but...OMG LOOK AT ALL OF THESE RADIOACTIVES. Pluto is just a boring little spec- ...what the hell is THAT doing there? See my point? Even within OUR OWN solar system in SC2

I said Synth pop Hunam. There were some great synth pop bands but I couldn't get into it as it was a time of R.E.M,The Smiths,INXS,U2,Chilli Peppers,The Go-Betweens and so many more. Also I wouldn't class Jarre in that style.I would think of him as Ambience,Trance, progressive rock music.Phillip Glass I liked too.But above all I love Dead Can Dance for their Pagan/Gothic rock and ethereal music.

We need small discoveries like this in game. The unexpected. We need a modded race that pop off firworks into space from their ships and say Woahhh and Arhhhhhh. Anyway thanks for your hard work in making the game ea

Exploration Focus: So in a game of 700 planets, there will be roughly 116 desert,116 moon,116 crystalline,116 volcanic,116 acid,116 rainbow surfaces. Sorry to be harsh but I already know what players will say about that.It kind of makes planet exploration null and void don't you think? When you explore it's about discovery isn't it.Trying to find something new then finding something new pushes you to go discover something else. Isn't it what

Cough Cough.. Frogboy glad to be of service. Mum always said I had good idea's :) Seriously though having many minds working collectively always allows for better exchanges of idea's. Hopefully my posts weren't lost and buried in all the Banter that exist daily. I really think it's important to have One Release that is great with the integration of expansions and worthwhile DLC added on at a later date. The player

I don't Like the intro! The story doesn't flow properly needs to be edited differently. Seriously a ship crashes on a planet Titan..Where's this sensor that picks it up? Is it the space station? Is it another ship in space? Is the space station located just off Titan? Then you get a 2 weeks later message.Kind of pointless don't you think naming a ship in the middle of a rescue effort.Wouldn't the crash victim be dead 2 weeks later? &nbs

Four parallel Universes. How about an alien ship lands on Earth.A man walks out to the surprise of the military. He requests to talk to our leaders. Your called to Washington.Your brought into a room with heavy security. There stands a man identical looking to you. He is you from a parallel universe bringing warning of things to come. With your parrallel help and ship designs and a quick guide to the galaxy humanity leaps into space.

Does anyone remember Ports of Call and the new Version Transocean. They had the option to navigate your ship in manually into Ports saving money and time though there was risk to damage that would cause time delays and repair costs or you could pick a tug to tow you in and moor you safely. But it cost more. Then the dev's took out the manually docking system in Transocean 2 and you know what. The players weren't happy about it being more streamlined. The Entry minigame needs to ha

I'm new to Star Control so I have a different view point that may be helpful. As I look at the images of the Alien races and ships I am reminded of the backlash Master of Orion remake received in regards to humour(Especially News Desk). I really hope Stardock nail the writing. &nbsp

Hi I'm Frederic, I'm 50 and watched the birth of pc gaming grow into a teen. My parents bought me a Pong console and since then I have been fascinated by the constant advances in the technology. I love my Sci Fi and I which I could live for 100's of years. There's so much to learn from our Universe and

Hey, I'm a bit late to the party but I have an idea about the distribution of future species. If it isn't too late. You see the Remnants had amassed quite a large seed and genetic vault/Bank/library of all species known to exist within the 4 universes. They created a ship,The Inseminator. It's roll was to travel like a clock through space pla
