Thanks..but those are the settings I first tried. Strangely, when I click the Start8 Menu item "Windows 8 Menu" it works perfectly. I even have the option "Show the Windows 8 menu when I press the right Windows key" But all I get is a stripped down version of the Start8 Menu. As I said, I have no left Windows key on this computer, and I suspect that the two Windows key scan to difference codes. It worked perfectly on my previous, Alienware M14x notebook

Cannot get to Win 8.1 Metro Screen in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

I installed Start8 on my new MSI gaming notebook. I have the start button set to the Start8 menu, and that's fine. However, I wanted the Windows key to send me back to the Win 8 Metro screen--but I can't find a setting to do this. I tried "... shows Windows 8 menu", but that gives me something that looks like en empty Start8 menu. Not sure if this is relevant, but this notebook has only a RIGHT side Windows key.

I just saw the game today in a store, and it looked interesting. I enjoy RPG and Strategy--the Spellforce franchise was magic!
