Maybe that ship shouldn't exist on the planet until it is mentioned in the game. Kind of the way the New Pinthi don't.

I was wondering if the Scryve hats were inspired by the Headdress of the Inca ? They seem very similar to me.
I'm not sure what you meant by: "When I was forced to give some of my crew to the Druuge". You are never forced to give your crew away, it's always the Captain's decision to do so and although I forgot which item you needed to obtain, I think it's something to fix the Ultron but there's another way to do it in the game to accomplish that task without selling your crew.
For the Trandal ships if I were to describe a strategy against the big ships that have a defense that protects all sides such as the Measured ships, and the Juggernauts it would be as follow: I would get close as a feint but still out of range of the ship to get it to fire off his defensive weapon prematurely and pounce as soon as it clears while the battery is still low. The Trandal ships are a lot like the <span style="color: #222222; font-family: sans-ser
The Trandal ships as controlled by the A.I does wonders against most Scryve ships (except if they charge when they have a full battery). I've seen a Trandal ship get caught in a Scryve ship's "Maw" so to speak and it stayed there stuck until the Scryve ship was done cutting it with its beam. The Trandal ships can't survive a direct blast from the defensive weapon. They shouldn't move in like that when the battery is at full charge, it's a suicide run.
Also, in the version of the game before this current one, I went to speak to the Pinthi after clearing the game and there was dialogue there about me requesting their help to poison the fake human body created by the Tywon. The thing is that body is long gone now, consumed by the Phamysh. This dialogue should not be there once the body has been used as intended in the game.
Since the lander stun gun can capture enemy drones on a planet, why not have an option where the lander could deploy these drones once reprogrammed to seek and destroy the other enemy drones on the planet. It would help even out the odds. (A bit like what was done in Stargate Universe).
Hello, Drove to the monument at Ashinara in the Zeta Xiphios system, I was unable to use the 'E'xplore option.
When the final battle in the game is done in the game it's still possible to explore the stars and so on but the Earth Starbase still insists that the ship leaves with the dispersal unit equipped on the ship even though it's no longer necessary and it still tells the captain to go to the sector where the final battle took place. It's possible to remove it at a starbase but when we go back, the Earth Starbase insists again that it be installed.
The Tywon are relatively close to Earth and are able to listen to old school radio and TV transmissions from a few hundred years ago. It could be similarly be possible to listen to old school radio transmissions that are thousands of years old from now-extinct species that encountered the Scryve provided you go far enough from the source in space. The Tywon device which listens to Earth transmission could be used to scan these old transmissions looking for certain key words.&
In both SC2 and SC3, the map took the entire screen, it was easier to click on a specific star to navigate to. In Star Control Origin, it's much more difficult to do so. Granted, this game has greater resolution, but I'm finding it difficult to use as is. - If you wish to keep that navigation map to a small rectangle on the screen, why not use the space in the Search screen (when nothing is typed in) to show the Zoomed In area of the map where the mouse pointer is
De-Extinguising races: - We have allies who are experts at Genetics, the Mu Mak and the Pinthi who regret wiping out Alien Species and there is also the possibility to find Drenken cloning pods in some ruins. Why not use all that to de-Extinguish races wiped out by the Scryves or Pinthi ? Leave DNA experts/Archaeologist science expedition at ruins that are found (science colony), to find Genetic Samples and clone extinguished species, have them help make se
The word: their is sometimes spelled as: thier, and it's not the aliens making those spelling mistakes.
I've been playing for a few days, and had gotten used to making use of the automated saved games that appeared to be done every 10-15 minutes. Next thing I know, there's a period of 4.5 hours without a single automated backup. Why the discrepancy ? Is it only certain events that trigger a backup ? I found myself in an unwinnable situation and wanted to go back 10-15 minutes in the past to reconfigure my ship and saw to my surprise I had no automated ga
Watch out with this feature, using it caused me to lose some Francium I was saving to power a hyper drive and some lead for another quest. There does not seem to be a possibility to sell only half or part of each resources. I'd like to be able to keep some of everything in case some quest comes up where I need a specific resource to go forward.
I do not have a saved game, but every time I've played with Snathi with it's scavenging tech advanced to a certain level, and I've attacked a citizen of an enemy nation it has happened (lost citizen). I will attempt to save a game next time.
Hello, Some of the ships that are released to attack my ship in the Arcturus system (Big Orange Star) aren't giving me RU units after the battle. (I guess they are remote controlled scavenged ships but if they can go into battle they should have some RU units attached). I played the game t'il the end but never found out what what those ships were. Nor did I figure out those weird ships whose Captain only says Mmmmmm in a hail. Thanks
There is a discrepancy for the Charlox quest. In the objectives, it says they Charlox need 100 units of Lead. In the Captain's Journal it says they need 500.
I've taken the combat module where an A.I does ship to ship combat with me and this causes some problems/bugs. - I can't go to the Star Control ship combat trial and select my own ship. This is annoying, because I want to test out certain weapon module combination and I can't choose my own ship. The A.I keeps choosing ships in my fleet. I should have the option to select which ship will do battle (let the A.I show me its suggestion but I still choose)
> it does not show you the planets where you are able to either purchase fuel or get some for free By this, I meant , systems where I discovered it was the case, not tell me in advance. When I wrote "show me a circle of a different color" I mean on the sector map, I'd like an icon similar to the starbase icon but of a different color around the planet which can supply me with fuel.
Some ideas/feedback after playing the game two days straight over a weekend. - The exploration of the different systems depends on the availability of fuel While the map shows you the starbases you've discovered, it does not show you the planets where you are able to either purchase fuel or get some for free which I think is a major flaw. Show me a circle of a different color. This way, I can more easily plan to visit a sector that is out o
Hello, I keep retrying to win a ship battle in the game by reloading a saved game, and each time I have to listen to the long dialogue. I know what the alien is going to say, is there a shortcut way to skip to the ship battle right away ? It takes a few minutes each time to go through the dialogue and it's pretty repetitive. Instead of "Hail" could we have "Hail" and "Fight" ?
I signed up and bought the software when there still wasn't anything to download yet. Has this changed ? Will Stardock notify me when there is something to download and try out ? Will an email link be sent to me or will the download become available for me on Steam when it is ready ? I was thinking that perhaps Stardock should contact the people behind the Axanar fan film to see if they could make a Star control film with the races characters and mythology of Star
I think that the crew experience should be taken into account. The more battles a crew member survives, the better the chances the ship's weapons will hit their target and if the ship has shields, there will be a greater chance of them coming on to stop a hit even if the Captain is unable to time it right. On the flip side, the opponent's experience would be randomly generated. If you have a ship full of green horns after a devastating fight, and you are about t
> Humanity did not manage hyperspace travel until the Chenjesu encountered them and recruited them into the war with the Ur-Quan. That is what the intro said however in SC2, before the slave shield went up the Ur Quan destroyed the pyramids other ancient structures as well as something in the ocean. This could be a hint at Atlantis or ancient Lemuria perhaps elevated by the precursors long ago. The "precursor" theme exists in Galactic Ci
