And again this happens: I get a promo email to upgrade for $29,99 but the link says EUR 35,05. I have never had another account, so the transfer thing doesn't make a difference. I have been a customer since January 2010!

So you can get Fences 5 with the Object Desktop Upgrade which is a reasonable price. So what happens with Fences if I get it from there and do not subscribe again at the end of the year?
I have bought my Fences since v2 for around EUR 8,- and that made sense. The upgrade to 4 was made one and a half year ago, the upgrade before that was longer, so basically I would need two years subscriptions to go to v6. I got an email telling me i could upgrade for $7.99. I click on the link and it wants me to pay EUR 9.99. I try to upgrade my Fences 3 license and it says I am not eligible for an upgrade. Why can't I buy the $7.99 upgrade?
Hi, I don't actually have a normal monitor, so it took a while. In the end I extended my desktop using SpaceDesk to a Samsung S7 tablet and dragged the frame there and... yes you can see it properly there (ie you can read the text when you rename / F2). So figuring it's somewhere in the connection to the TV I checked Display Settings and turned Off "Play HDR games and apps". This changed the behaviour on the TV so with HDR off I can see the text whilst renaming. Obviously I do
It's a 55" LG TV with HDR on, resolution 3840 x 2160 landscape, scale set to 100% I have a both a portal to a local drive and to a mapped network drive and the behaviour is the same. I don't have any updates under windows update. This is an Enterprise version of windows 10, which might be why? Thanks!
ok so a whole lot of rebooting later: did a sfc /scannow, then purge uninstallaed windowfx, windowblinds, deskscapes, iconpackager and fences. Found fencesmenu64.tbd hadn't been deleted so got rid of that. Reinstalled fences. Same behavour. Sfc /scannow again and still no luck :'(
No luck with the cleanboot. I did notice that there were 2 Fences settings items which I kept both and also that I can rename in "normal" fences fine but the problem is only in the Folder Portals. This goes for both the new and the current user account. I don't use the "normal" fences so I hadn't noticed before... Cheers Robin

Occasionally, not every time, when I unlock the PC after screen saver or hibernate, the entire start bar is gone. In order to get it back I have to restart explorer.exe, which I do using a .bat file ---- @echo off taskkill /f /im explorer.exe ECHO Waiting 5 seconds to restart WinExp... Since windows 10 I have moved to Linux Mint - they don't send my computer's contents to anyone - and I really really miss my Frames, Deskscapes, Iconpackager, etc. Is there any chance you will get them working on Linux some time? Thanks!
Sometimes Deskscapes (Windows 7) gets stuck on a dream and then refuses to continue cycling through randomly. If I open Deskscapes and click on Apply to all my monitors, the cycling starts again, but it doesn't start with a random background, but the first one in the list. The computer never goes to sleep, hybrid sleep is off, it doesn't hibernate either. The hard disk does go off after 20 minutes, the display goes off after 2 hours and the screensaver activates after 15 minutes
