WinCustomize ForumsGPU Overheating I recently installed a 3-D screensaver (from another company) on my desktop machine. Normally it runs fine but after the screen saver started it was periodically freezing. Opening the computer case reduced the problem so it was obviously heat related. After replacing the passive heatshink on the graphics card with a fan there have no more problems.
