My setup at home isn't quite that cool. I have a desktop PC with two monitors... a 19" and a 15". I also have a laptop with a 14" widescreen. The laptop faces my 53" HDTV which is connected to my XBox360 which usually streams media from my Vista Ultimate desktop (running deskscapes). Both the Desktop and the laptop also have Parallels installed such that I can run Ubuntu to control my VPS.

I personally don't mind the UAC so much, but it would be nice to leave the system in an elevated state for some period of time. For all the whining people did about how unsecure Windows is, now that Microsoft has done something about it, they aren't happy with it. It does seem like the original hack contest was setup such that the Mac would fail. A student at the University of Wisconsin (Go Badgers!) has setup another test which is much more realistic. I appreciate Macs for what they are. What gauls me though, is how loud the Mac crowd gets when a virus or something comes out for Windows. OS X isn't more secure than Windows and the fact that Microsoft has been working on security all this time (while Apple presumably has not) might lead one to think that Windows is more secure. Security through obscurity is no security at all.

Does any one know if Stardock is planning support for U3 devices? It would be amazing to be able to plug in my U3 drive and fire up WindowBlinds, ObjectDock and DesktopX. FYI - U3 drives allow for programs to run on host computers from a portable USB flash device. When the device is removed, no trace of the programs are left behind. U3 enabled programs do not modify the registry of the host comptuer and leave no files behind. m

My $0.02... I think that blocking people from uploading would kill some of the ingenuity. There are many excellent skins and items from a few and many mediocre items from a lot. Then, every once in a while, you run across the excellent item from an unknown or a first timer. You know what I'd like? I'd like a little map that I could put on my desktop somewhere that would show me a radar loop of my local area. Does anyone out there know of a place where I can learn how to make all these beautiful graphics for skins? I use Paintshop Pro (7 & 8) and can only make the simplest of graphics.
