timbur, adding a second nic or using firewire for MP communications is very easy. My secondary machine has two Gb NICs connected to my LAN and I use the firewire as the interface for MP communications. All works just fine. On a side not, you said that you can't use split tunneling; what does it have to do with MP? Maybe not the correct way of doing things but if you don't want to install SDC on the secondary machine (as I do), here's how I went around it (although I can't give you any garantee this will do the trick as it did for me): From the primary, grab the your updated Multiplicity folder and copy the whole folder on a USB key. I reproduced the problem of MP 1.04.x not showing up in SDC and it wasn't because of the SDC build I had. Actually, uninstalling MP would then allow SDC to offer build 1.04.x. If MP 1.02 is installed, nothing about 1.04 would show up in SDC. Uninstall it, restart SDC, boom, 1.04 appears. Interesting, to say the least. Haaaah! Interestingly, I just received a pop up when starting SDC few minutes ago offering me a new SDC build, which, after installation and restart of the app, now offers me Multiplicity 1.04[b].003, dated 03/03/06! Actually C & P of clipboard works just fine in Synergy, as with Multiplicity "basic" edition. File copy doesn't seem to be supported yet, although i'm also too lazy to look for it

There's obviously an issue with IntelliPoint/Type. I just uninstalled Multiplicity and gave a try to Synergy (1.2.8) on SourceForge with flawless operations so far. No more IntelliPoint/Type mouse or keyboard issue! Now, Synergy's requires a bit of configuration to make it work properly but it also happens to be more featured than Multiplicity (not the Pro version). The only thing to keep in mind is that Synergy support only 2 monitor. All that to say

I just purchased Multiplicity (not the pro) and experience the very same issue. I use Multiplicity 1.02 (latest available as of yesterday), an MS Wireless Laser 6000 mouse with IntelliPoint 5.5. I've linked the two PC through Firewire instead of my local network. The primary is XP PRO SP2 and the secondary is XPx64, all updates you can imagine of are applied on both. three_4me, just to make sure I understand your problem: with your desktop with IE6, is WinCustomize the ONLY site on which you can't get or are there other sites too? Also, when you say you can't get on WC site, what error message does IE gives you exactly? This is important to pinpoint more precisely your problem.

T-Man, i'm subscribed to Windows & .NET Magazine. The added values they provide online for subscribers was a key selling point in my case. I think the success of online subscription resides in those value added contents they can provide only online. I personnaly love hard copy magazine because you can read it wherever you are while online content can give you access to those extras paper can't offer.
