Shellstyles are 'wonky' that way for me to. Sometimes you'll get the shellstyle that the theme uses, and sometimes I'll get the standard windows XP shellstyle. I've found that switching to the diamond theme gets things back to normal, for a short time, then all of a sudden the shellstyles will change.

Thanks for the replies - I'm interested primarily in free packages.
I'm looking for the most complete Icon Packages available. The package I'm currently using i s https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=1434&libid=2 What I like most about thise package is that is skins the control panel icons as well. Most IP's ignore this area. Can any of you reccommend 'complete' packages like nuoveXT?
I looked at their 'avoid' list first - they listed NoScript as the number 2 extension to avoid. Are they daft? It's one the most valuable extensions going for Firefox. Especially now that FF is becoming more exploited as it gain in popularity. Dumb article, Compterworld...
What does Gates know about competition (except how to squash it)?
For that money, buy a decent PDA.
I was trying to get on here all weekend to report these issues - couldn't get to the forums to report it. Would occasionally get the front page, but links from there would time out. Brutal...
DaveBo: Only customers have access to 1.3 right now. Well, I'm an ObjectDesktop customer, but I'm assuming you mean ObjectDock Plus customer? Your OP is not to clear about who gets what...
Weirdness... I'm showing version 1.20A.025 installed (free version), but with NO updates available.
I believe it's all about more than just the one server.... So - the site has been brutally slow lately, and all we get for an explanation is a wink? And does subscriber mean OD subscriber, or are we being locked out of the site too?
Hopefully you're in touch with them on this Neil, or will be. Info from a fellow dev will have an easier time getting through all the noise that is the Oblivion forums...
I'm getting similar flashing from WB 5.01. I'm using the Wire and Glass theme, and the transparency of the taskbar flashes like crazy while playing - makes the game virtually unplayable. Running X2 3800+ 1GB x800xl XP Pro SP2
This is a brutal error Stardock. Can we get this resolved somehow, so people don't end up wasting money on one or the other product. (WB or CursorXP) Because from the comments above it sounds as if this problem is too much for Stardock to fix. Maybe an incompatability warning should be included with each product...
Thanks for that, Nakor. Now I'm getting a "Could not write the activation signature" error. I forsee another install of WB in my future...
I'm having all kinds of trouble installing this beta. I'm jumping straight from the 4.6 official version (first time WB5 install). Earlier on it was crashing SDcentral when it came to the activation step. So, I uninstalled/reinstaled SDcentral, and the install went OK apparently. My OD subscription was seen OK, SDcentral did not crash, and prompted me to reboot XP. Following the reboot I'm greeted with a WB activation prompt. Entering my OD
already has. Not for me. Showing 1.11.022 installed, and no update available through SDC...
It's been updated since last year. List of changes made, please? Nothing is evident from the screenshot. My wife already has last years version running fine on her laptop - want to see if it's worth messing with...
Brad, when DesktopX first came out I'm sure it was covered in all the press to a greater degree than this is. So, In a way, sour grapes is an appropriate title for this rant. Personally, brand loyalty is ridiculous. Whatever runs the best on my machine is what I use. Right now that's AveDesk - running 4 desklets @ 5 MB RAM total. If I fire up one DesktopX widget I'm looking at 5MB+ for that single widget. I'm an OD subscriber, so DX is bought and paid for - it's resource usage that keep
Reinstalling WB & SS made it work for me...
Same problem as SchlGrl27... It errors out as follows... ObjectDock - Cannot start, please reinstall ObjectDock is not registered correctly. Please Reinstall. This is the freeware version btw - I updated through Stardock Central, and now my dock is dead.
I too thought that being an OD subscriber would allow a vote. How could it be ballot stuffing if paying customers only were allowed to vote? It would just give you a broader opinion (IMHO)
Right on - thanks for a starting point, Tiggz. I'll take a run at it later on. I appreciate the nice theme, and the assist!
I looked in the user overrides section, but could only see where the theme font could be changed, not the color. The titlebar font had the option to bold, italic, etc, but that's about it. I've tried in the display properties-appearence-advanced settings for menu, titlebars etc, but the settings don't 'take'. Looks like I'll have to dig into SkinStudio...
I'm using the new K2 WindowBlinds theme, and it's almost perfect for me except for one thing. I find that the fonts used throughout the theme are too light, and as a result are a little hard on the eyes. What's the best way to darken all the fonts in a theme at once? Can it be done somehow using WB, or will I have to switch them all in SkinStudio? (hope not, as I know jack squat about using that app <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
Comments weren't direct at any one individual. Go do your better things... What forums - here? Or Winamp?
