Yeah, the intro page doesn't load for me... Just sits there. I have flash plugin etc. No loading going on... This is why sites should not rely entirely on flash

Alright, so I can be found hugging my knees in a corner if there is word of a spider in the house, but this SARS thing is scaring me... A friend of mine along with his family have been quarenteened, and another friend of mine was hanging out with the potentially-infected friend... Should I be worried sick like I am, or just relax? I hear it kills about 5% of those infected, but does it kill random people, or just the young, old and/or weak? The fear keeps me awake...

Well I think the time has come that they will have to learn a new language out of necessity. PHP is actually very easy to learn. Its syntax rules are very simple. The only think one needs to know is what functions are available to them. Functions can be found at the PHP site (php.net) so it's easy to find what you need. Then there's JSP (Java Servlets), but I'm not sure how much faster/slow that would be than PHP or ASP. My guess would be faster, but it's definately not as easy

Yes, PHP is definitely a wise way to go about things. Also, with Apache + PHP + MySQL you can get special cache modules which work like so: A page is generated dynamically. Yay! Now that page has been stored in the cache of the server so if it is called again with the same parameters and hasn't been changed, the cache is dished out and no parsing is required. It's not a dictatorship. It's simply a matter of enforcing politeness and proper etiquette. What he said was simply "Those who cannot design skins yet, just stop trying to learn." If that doesn't strike you as wrong, then both your attitudes need adjusting... I've been voicing my opinion in this thread for 5 pages now, and despite the mods' disagreeing with me, I still haven't be threatened with a ban. Why? Because I do it politely and I back up my opinion as best I can.

I'm not suggesting they stop. I just thought it would make sense to wait until they've developed more as skinners before submitting their works. That only goes for those incomplete skins though. One of the ones I pointed out (the trippy rainbow one) was well skinned, but I just didn't like the colours. Nothing wrong with posting those because lots of people love those skins.

Well firstly, I am capable of taking criticism be it good or bad. In fact, I'm quite used to taking more of the negative and it's hardened me so to speak. I'm not a very "emotional" person and am not easily hurt by negative comments. I can usually understand the intent. I guess, because of that, I should learn to think of others not as myself :S I can take negative criticism but it's apparent that not everyone can and that's fine with me. My showing of examples was simply because I'd been asked. I was affraid of being flamed for it, which in retrospect I should've KNOWN I'd get flamed for it. "Those who can, do. I've been browsing the WindowBlinds skins for a while now, and have noticed that a good amount of them are very poorly done. The previews reveal graphical and alignment errors galore, and yet somehow they were still added to the collection. What struck me as odd were the comments on these skins.
