Lol frogboy...full credit for the open post, noone appreciates a relaxed no-bs attitude like us kiwis, but seriously..."Stardock isnt a real company?". You'll be hearing that quoted out of context for years. And I gotta say I can't go agreeing with you on the whole "oh its only been 6 months and look at all the updates" thing. In 1999, the post-release support for DG would have been considered as impressive, but in '09 you gotta try harder. I know its a dumb direct comparison because

I'd pay pretty much whatever they want for any MEANINGFUL additions to the game, although ironically I have a no-WoW policy as well :). The problem is not pay-for inclusions though, its that each and every addition like that would massively split the (already almost-nonexistant) community. Imagine if Valve started selling a laser rifle for Counterstrike for $9.99 that dealt double-damage from any of the standard weapons. They'd lose fuckin millions of players overnight...

Plenty of people will be seeing the new demigods for the first time and playing against people who have 50+ games with them.
I reckon distorted kinda has a point there. Hands-on experience with a particular DG is the #1 important thing to effectively playing against him, and regardless of who they give the new DGs to first eventually we'll end up in a situation where N number of people have considerable experience with the

Actually I've won a few games where the enemy team was majorly pushing us back by shelling out for the second tower health & dmg upgrades early (before cur 2). Gave us that additional time to get our shit together and push back, whereas otherwise we would be in a 1 v 4 towers situation. I always seem to have more trouble from towers than enemy DGs lol :)

No-one's on anymore, not in the after-work hours anyway. Here's the daily routine, some time after work: Load up DG Bring up lobby See 2 games, both Russian hosts Click Refresh 3 times Sigh, close DG and go do something else

Alright, let me fall back here for a moment - these items have been suggested INSTEAD of SotF, and are meant to prevent precisely that sort of mindless stat-building. Now, I'm of the opinion that this stat-building wouldn't matter in a good team anyway, but even if you disagree this is not the point. The point is simply that massive-cost favor items should be ultra-specific game-situation items as opposed to stat-boosters.
Like most experienced players I'm not too happy with the new high-favor items, but not because they're OP (gimme a break, +200hp to botf will do f-all, the new dodge builds will out-bs that). I just think that the concept overall is a bit stale.Wrong. The problem is that right now there are literally about a dozen different situationally viable favor items, but all of them are still risky to take over BotF. The new SotF subtly shifts t

Hello everyone, I'm DemiSpets, I haven't posted here before but have been stalking these forums for months now, and have been playing Demigod since Day 1, as all Aussies and some US pros will attest.
