replace "Stardock" with "GPG" and you got yourself a thread
Done. Thanks for the clarification.
No. This is a stupid bug(lobby crash) but it's not that big of a deal. Ok stardock / GPG, here is the deal. This game has been out for nearly a year now and yet still plays with the stabillity of a beta in its embroynic stage. The networking layer and stability of the game overall was so atrocious upon release (being proxied with 500 ms ping to players in the same CITY as me, exceedingly high crashes) that I gave this game a break for 6 months waiting for issues to be resolved. I have come back last month (December 2009) to a patched game that
works now after i uninstalled logitech drivers. i was not using the webcam but there was still a conflict.
I downloaded and installed demifail on my computer. Double clicking on the exe or on the application in impulse results in the demigod simply failing to start up. I have verified this through windows task manager: On double clicking the exe it appears in the task manager for a split second and then dissapears. No crashes, no exceptions, no stacktrace, nothing. I am running windows xp, not using webcam or skype or commodo and my drivers are up to date. On very r

to all the "no we don't need banlists" people - what are you afraid of? Are you guys RQ'ers? Even if someone bans you for being a noob, his banlist would be specific to HIM which is just as well coz you would not want to play with that idiot again anyway. So whats wrong with giving legitimate people the option to make sure they have a banlist that ensures they do not play a game with game spoilers?
lol - yeah but the lag system is still better then other games. I hate telling my character to move and end up with a delayed response. I prefer choppy frames but at least my character moves when i tell her to.
Err, DotA doesn't do well at all, regardless of a banlist. Community = terrible, getting into a game with people of the proper skill level = terrible. The damn thing is literally unplayable if you aren't in a clan. As we can see from DotA, a banlist will do nothing against the ever-streaming tide of laggers, leavers, and afkers who knock at your door. I'll wave to you next time I see you on the beach with a teacup, trying to drain the ocean.[/q

Don't worry, you won't be the first person to be banned just because someone is a huge dick. See what I mean? Banlist is complete

I wrote a post the other day mentioning how the dev's need a break; http://forums.demigodthegame.com/354736 I hereby retract that statement . I have also experienced lobby crashes yesterday. The quality of the programmers coding is such that you would have thought they were on crack when making the fixes. Yet, having worked in the games industry, I don't even blame them. The games industry is about slave driving to the max; game programmers are the most overworked, underpayed software programmers that you will find. And I say this in retrospect, having worked in the telco, cartographic, financial, gaming and
