I have the same problem as well, it will not update nor allow me to play online since the patch was released. Playing online was a headache to begin with, but now it seems completely impossible. On my vista computer the game will crash every time I try to play single player or online. I've experienced lock-ups in the menu, sound skipping, and misaligned button hotspots in the options.
