Question regarding the Flagship in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

Hi all, I'm a new player to Sins - I picked it up at the weekend and purchased Entrenchment as well and have been having a blast so far, thoroughly addictive and fun gameplay. My question is regarding the capital ship denoted by the prefix "Flagship" before its name. This prefix seems to be given to the first capital ship that you produce and, when that ship is destroyed, it passes to the next most experienced capital ship. I would have thought that, being the f
