Yes, Demo is totaly necessary! I've been waiting to play DG since the beginning of the last beta phase, which i could not attend. And i won't buy any software i did not test.

You are so stupid, how can someone like a game without playing it?!
Damn resize ... :/
Well, on one hand it's not good for a new game to be compared to an already existing mod or game, especialy when it comes to pitching the idea, but it's understandable and widely used by players. On the other hand, lots of well known publishers and studios take old well known mechanisms, polish and patch them up and resell them as brand new state of the art. Best example is Blizzard with Diablo III and World of Warcraft. And about this I'd like to link a comic f
Quite a difference between a full game and a custom map for an existing one. In the latter case, there's no art development and little debugging (only if you add some new ability scripts) to do just to add a new character. The mapper can just pick a model, maybe changing the scale or color-shift in the map editor, then stick some abilities on and run with it.
And this is why i consider DotA pretty much unbala
Nice seeing some action in HD while wating for the demo ;P

perhaps take a look at some DotA matches @ youtube. afaik the game is quite similar to demigod. so you might get the idea of how to survive at lower levels.
151 erm i figure something out ... 1.) 151 is prim 2.) it is called "etthundrafemtioett" in swedish, "einhunderteinundfünfzig" in german 3.) from March 03 until June 06 151.000 Iraqis died from a violent death since the beginn of the invasion. Thats about 128 per day.
It might be true that demigod needs another ranking system but the light vs dark thing. Something where guilds might battle each other to gain access to .. (i don't know i cannot play beta :( ) The problem with that is, elite guilds will outrang the casuals and all higher rankings will be exclusively be taken by elite players from elite guilds ...
Greetings, A friend of mine told me just 2 days ago about demigod, and i was realy thrilled to have a look at the game. Sadly to say, the beta registration closed one day before i even know about demigod ... I asked people in the demigod-irc-channel, who told me that there is no way to get into the beta or have an active look at the game until release, even if i would pre-order the game now. Thus i have to wait for th demo or the release to play :/ So, i
